New Grower milkmann's Medicine Cabinet grow #1 (RQS Stress Killer Auto, high CBD)

@ChillFred have you managed to grow any RQS yet? If so, how did they go?

@arty zan Thank you, yes it's my first build. It's my first attempt at anything DIY! It's not perfect but it will hopefully get me a steady supply of medicine. Nutrient wise, I'm going with the BB grow, bloom & topmax, as well as Ecothrive Charge and Photosynthesis Plus. The middle socket is not going to be used as it will make temps too high. I'll be using 3 or 4 bulbs each in the other two sockets, each 25w 6500k for veg and got some 2700k for flowering too. Height of my space is 80cm. The reason behind the plant 'pod' design thing is so that I can use LST on the plant and use the hooks on the sides to loop the string around, train the plant around the pot, and hopefully keep the CFLs in amongst the plant. Carbon filter wise, I have an ona-blocker holder that I built over the PC fans at the back. Have you any experience with small space grows?
@Ripper @Rifleman thanks guys! Hope to have you guys along for this one!
Thanks for the additional info
Those 4 way bulb socket splitters are cool, I haven't see these ones before, do you have a link to who makes them/where you got them?
LST nice, I was wondering if that was the plan.
I haven't used ona so will be interested to see how it performs.
I have grown in small spaces but with plenty of height, I am just about to start a server tower grow which has 63cm height so I we shall see how I get on.
here's a picture of my cab.

@arty zan that setup looks great! what plants are you planning to grow in them, and what's the idea training wise? I just searched on Amazon UK for 4-way B22 to E27 bulb adapter and came across them. If you need a link, let me know, I'll send you the exact ones. I hope the ona filter idea works, with just one plant flowering at one time, and there being a whole herb garden sat on the cab, I'm hoping the smell will be masked enough to pass for just a 'stoner's bedroom smell'!

Update, day 15. Given her a 1.5L watering of Photosynthesis plus, and a smaller (500ml ish) plain water since last update. Still spraying her 3x daily. Not a mark on her in terms of nutrient burn or anything so far. I think she looks pretty healthy.

I am going on holiday tomorrow for 10 days, and I suspect she's one or two days away from starting to take off height-wise. The question is, do I start the LST tomorrow before I go (too early ideally) or leave her to grow for the next 10 days and then start it? My housemates are in charge of watering, light adjustment and possible LST while I'm gone, but I would rather come back to a tall plant than a broken plant. I'll only start the LST if it would definitely benefit.

Advice welcome!

Day 26

Hello all. Been away for the last 10 days, and how she has grown! I have included a picture of my previous grow at the same stage, to show the difference in size and health (don't laugh!). Left my housemates in charge with very detailed instructions and they didn't manage to mess it up, full credit to them.

So far she's had some more BB nutrients, been doing a watering schedule of (1.5L each time, usually every 3-4 days) BioBizz Grow - Microbe Life (Photosynthesis Plus and Nourish-L) - Plain watering. Every day she has been sprayed with plain water and also the foliar feed by microbe life. I haven't been pHing my water, just bubbling, which is interesting.

will introduce the BB flowering feed during her next watering, along with a dose of Ecothrive Charge, which will be on Monday. I'm going to give her 2L to allow runoff from the bottom.

So far she seems pretty happy, not a mark on her in terms of deficiencies or nutrient burn that I can see. Please tell me your thoughts otherwise.

There were a couple of big fan leaves that were constantly in the way, even after trying to tuck them, so I reluctantly had to cut them off - as a result, a further 4 bud sites were exposed. I know defoliation on Auto's is usually frowned upon, but in extreme cases such as this where height is an issue (it was growing into the light as well) it can be done can't it?

I'll get some better pictures on Monday, after the watering.

Cheers
