Hey guys. Sorry for the long hiatus.

I've just come back from 2 weeks in Japan so wasn't posting while I was away. Weed is impossible to get over there, so also went two weeks without smoking!

Unfortunately I couldn't get anyone to come and tend to the FxS which meant I had to chop early in a hurry and leave to dry whilst I was away.

I did a full plant hang and the humidity was too high, meaning that mould formed on the main colas. Probably lost about half the harvest which is massive bummer, but still looks to be about 3oz of some very frosty sticky buds.

I've broken it down but haven't had the chance to properly trim it yet. Amazingly there's still a bit of moisture so whilst I've lost a lot, what's there hasn't overdried so should still taste OK after a cure. We'll see...

I'll upload some pics once trimmed, they're very sparkly buds even if they were pulled too early. Hopefully the potency is there.

Mephisto seem to have dubbed this strain Ghost Stomper now, which makes me think that perhaps she could be getting a wider release? I hope so! I have one more bean so I'll give that a go on the next round, I'd love to grow again and let her reach full maturity.

Anyway, I'm back now but I won't be putting anything else in the tent until I have the Telos light, which will be next month now as I blew all my money in Japan!

sorry about the mould man, I chopped a limb off my Ripley last night after finding a spot, started Flawless Finish this morning and keeping an eye out for more, think I caught it pretty much immediately so hopefully it won’t spread but who knows!

Welcome back @NiceOption. I’m sorry to hear about the mould, after the time and expense of growing such a fine plant it really is a shame to lose any of it to mould. There is just so much to get right from start to finish to complete a really successful harvest. I have no doubt your next round will be a good one.

Yep, Japan was amazing thanks! I can't lie, it was a challenge to go two weeks without a smoke though! But wow, what an incredible place!

Yeah, the mould is a bummer. Still got a decent amount of smoke though and whilst I haven't tested it yet, I've got pretty high hopes. Super sticky and stinky. A nice sweet hazey smell coming off her, hasn't lost much for drying either and doesn't smell too grassy.

I guess I'm not too upset about it as the mould occurred whilst I was away and there was nothing I could do about it, I'm keeping myself sane by telling myself it wouldnt have happened had I been around to check on it. I reckon I've probably lost about half the harvest and I've been left with what looks to be about 3oz. I'll definitely pop the other bean soon as she is a fantastic producer. It will be interesting to see how she does under LED vs the HPS. She should be a fine candidate for some heavy training too.

Thinking she could do well alongside a Ripley's and I'm looking for a big-ish cheese, maybe a Big Buddha Blue Cheese. We'll see what turns up in the next Mephisto order.

Oh also, after what must be nearly a two month cure, that purple Strawberry Nuggets has improved exponentially! The sweet berry smell and taste has come through and somehow the potency seems to have increased too (although a two week break might have something to do with that too)
I had half a joint last night and it had me arse backward stoned to the bone. Laughing like a maniac at adverts on the TV, ate everything in the house and then the most euphoric, narcotic, pain killing hour or so before passing out on the couch.

It took a while, but I guess I've come around to the purps!

Good to hear the flavor and aroma improved on the Nuggets, got a pound off my NLs, smells like hay and doesn’t get me high. Smokes like ditch weed. Kind hope it improves LOLz.

We could all use a 2 week break once in a while, eh? Fixing to make some gummy bears so I don’t lose my buzz if I can’t smoke.

last night sounds like it was fun bro, you just put Strawberry Nuggets back on the map for me...was hesitant in case i got the purple pheno (i think we are backwards dude most people look for that one) but if a bit of cure has sorted it all out and then some...well i still haven't ordered the heavy indica yet so it's between Strawb and Toof Decay but i do dig the idea of a strawberry aroma. also i think it's pretty normal for potency to increase during cure...doesn't the THCa break down in to THC or something like that, over time?

if you're after a cheese fix mate you know i'm going to point out Mephisto's Northern Cheese Haze -- for whatever reason i had completely overlooked this strain (i knew of it but it just didn't speak to me, y'know?) but after growing out this freebie Stilton Special (NCH x Sour Livers) call me crazy but this stuff is giving the sacred CDLC a run for its money in terms of overall STANK and as a Brit who loves his cheese i'm confident NCH will tick all the boxes and then some. i think NCH can become biggish too.

Yeah! Had a good time with it. Stoned to the bone... and then some. Definitely one to smoke when all the chores are done. I could barely get myself off the couch and into bed. No giddiness or paranoia at all though. Just real smooth relaxation, numb legs and arms, no fibro pain whatsoever. Great one to chill and watch movies or cartoons. Perfect for me as I'm on a bit of an anime kick after coming back from Japan.

Yeah, i think we're the weirdos with our anti-purp agenda. It's really nice to see it's kept it's brightness though and not ended up a muddy 'sort of purple in the right light' brown.

Toof Decay was actually what I was gonna order instead of the 4AM initially but it was out of stock. It looks like great strain and ticks a lot of boxes for me. 4AM still has a very special place in my heart though, such a great all rounder, perfect for evening and daytime and the smmmeeeeell! I'm getting through it pretty quickly though. I'm actually thinking of maybe running 4 at once in autopots over the spring whilst I'll be away for a week here and there. I want to have enough of that on hand for lazy summer afternoons in the park.

Northern Cheese Haze... I'm still not convinced about Haze strains. I'm just not sure I get along with them so well but if anyone's gonna convince me otherwise, it's gonna be Mephisto so I'm sure it'll get a look in at some point. I still wanna try the CDLC, I haven't heard a bad thing about it and it seems to sometimes colour up really nicely too.

Sooooo many straaaaainnnsssss... I just wanna say fuck it and order this Telos right now. The empty tent is bumming me out.

Awwwh hell. I think I'm just gonna order the Telos.

The sight of an empty tent is too depressing. I'll worry about financial ruin later. Looks like it'll arrive on Wednesday this week so will be able to get it all set up next weekend.

I still have some Zkittles from Fast buds so I might give a couple of them a go. Not seen many people growing it so I'm not sure what to expect. I don't think FB are the most reliable breeder but if the photo I sampled is anything to go by, it's worth a try.

Once i'm all trimmed up and weighed in on the FxS, I'll mark this thread complete. Kinda sad to end it!
