Yes a rosin press would be my ideal too to be honest, but as we all know, there's quite a difference in price between a press and a set of bags. I was going to get one this year but have decided to go for a set of cobs instead. Hopefully I'll have enough spare change by spring for press. I prematurely bought a rig and it's staring at me, mocking me, begging for some dabs.

This is the invoice for what I bought for plates, controller, cables, preform. $350 total and made in the USA. And then a 10 ton shop press can be had for $200. So $550 for a great rosin press. Not to bad.

Oh I’m not laughing at you. I had to watch a YouTube video trying to figure out how a rig actually operates.

I just want to feel good the easiest way I can. A little dab seems a lot of work all the way around.

Did you get a rig with enail? That enail controller can be used to control rosin plates too so you get a bit of cost reduction doing it that way. And enail is just miles better than a gas torch nail because of temp precision.

Just a plain ol' quartz nail. I didn't want to splurge too much, I need some rosin first after all!

I suspect I might be coming around on the idea of making hash...

I smoked it as a young lass, which was more than a few years ago. When do you guys like to smoke it? Is it an anytime thing? Are there times you prefer the hash over rolling one up?

Which brings me around to ... how do you smoke your stuff? I’m a water pipe gal, though I’ve been known to smoke the occasional joint. I did pick up a low budget dry herb vaporizer to test it out, but that’s where I’m at.

The price of the rosin presses are far out of my league. For that kind of money I could have a tent full of cobs and a quart or two of Mammoth p to boot. Or am I looking in the wrong places? Plus the dab rig ... seems so elaborate. I’m a KISS type.

I go through phrases, mostly joints at the moment, probably a little wasteful but i like being able to pick it up and take a few puffs when I fancy it. I got a Pax 2 a few months ago and it's been great for out and about. Very discrete but it definitely isn't quite a potent as just smoking it. It's great for when i finish work on the way home when i need a little something but don't want to get too ripped. The flavour is decent and it's tiny. It just looks like I'm vaping a Juul or something. As far as when I smoke hash... whenever! If you make bubble has it will be nothing like the stuff you bought as a youngun, I also used to smoke a lot of bad moroccan export as a teen and there is no comparison.

This is very impressive! Although my girlfriend would not approve approve of something that size taking up the spare room. Been looking at a few of the mini hand press things but I'm not 100% convinced of the return on them and whilst they're affordable(ish) they're still not cheap and I could pick up 4 cobs, some seeds and all the nutes I'll need for a year for around the same price...

Something to save for but my priority is cobs at the moment.

Oh and yes, I agree. The hair tongs thing is a waste of time and bud!

DAY 46

Very pleased to see that overnight a light dusting of frost has appeared on most of the 4AM flowers.

She's already beginning to smell much more than yesterday. It's amazing the different a day makes. Smelling very similar to Pineapple Express. Extremely sweet and tropical. Ripe mangoes and pineapple. Very nice although not what I was expecting. Aside from the swift flowering time she feels and looks more sativa leaning to me.

Pretty happy with how she's coming along. Not much to report on the SNs but the untopped one is definitely on it's way to a deep purple rather than a pink. Maybe she'll be the girl to change my opinion on purple strains.

Topped plant is stretching rapidly and is now the same height as the untopped one, but with a more open structure and robust looking flowers forming. I've no doubt that topping her was the right move.

Fantasmo x Stomper still looking weird, although somewhat perkier than yesterday. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with this one now. There's no bad results from free seeds I guess. Added a bit of support as she looked like she was about to topple over.
