it is a tough one haha i know every time i go to top a plant i take 30 minutes to pick an angle and seem to just stare at it hoping it’s going to top itself

The only way to learn is to try it! Some strains are better than other for topping. It only hurts for a second

I've had a look through your grow and I'm floored by your training skills. Very impressive stuff.

You've all inspired me. I'll be decapitating one of the Strawberry Nuggets this evening. It's looking like it'll be the best approach for this strain as I don't think straight LST will be able to give me the structure I'm looking for. I'll only do one so we can do a side by side comparison with the same strain.

Glad you’re making the plunge, i think all the misinformation out there from the weak first gen lowryders has left a lot of people afraid to apply topping or even in some cases even defoliation but there’s more anecdotal evidence out there now that says that most good autos prefer a bit of light training

SN1 has been topped.

She's looking pretty well and i have a good feeling about her journey. So much so, that taking cues from @Give Pizza Chants and @Medimadness she been named. Somewhat pessimistically, from this day fourth she shall be known as Euronymous!

SN2 chilling out watching the carnage unfold before her eyes.

We'll call her Fenriz. For those that know, you'll be noticing a theme...

And here we have our 4 Assed Monkey getting her groove on. Bending hard now after two days of slow n low. She's named Pike after everyones favourite never-wears-a-shirt-guitar-groove-god.

Possibly pushed her a bit hard but I'm confident she'll bounce back, the lowers are shooting up fast and will be ready to be trained in the next couple of days by the looks of it.

Feels like it's been a big day in the garden. Got an 8 Ball Kush blunt on the go (a rare treat with that tobacco stuff) gonna finish that off and hope for the best.

Should know how this has gone by the time morning rolls around.

I think you picked one of the other best windows to top as my blueberry was around that maturity! i think you’ll notice her growing soon, and don’t get worried if she doesn’t do anything for a little bit, mephisto genetics seem to respond well to topping from what i’ve seen too.
you got the 5000k lamp btw? picture quality is way better. need to get one ASAP

Thanks dude. Yep, after checking on them this morning, she's completely unphased from the topping. Zero signs of stress and back to growing upwards. I'm thinking that I might just do the other one (poor ol' Fenriz) now too. I'm kind of intrigued to see how she grows without any interference though, just a bit of tucking. Might be cool to see her natural structure and I can't see that just using LST will be much help with her.

No 5000k yet, it's still not arrived. I just took em out of the tent. Not much trouble whilst they're at this size. I'm sure the 5000k will come in handy once they start getting bigger.
