New Grower Mephisto Strawberry Nuggets, 4 Assed Monkey & Fantasmo Express x Sour Stomper

don’t even start dude, i’m getting all sorts of anxiety trying to figure out what goes in to replace my oldies once they’re cooked.

only beans I have that I haven’t popped yet are the Sour Bubbly freebies...but if I make a Mephisto order before I do, I know it’s gonna get pushed back...

i’m literally dreaming about Ripley’s OG so no matter what I have to get some. it’s like my calling in life - grow Ripleys - smoke Ripleys - achieve enlightenment...
ahem.
the potential release of Grape Walker Kush on Friday too...
the fact I really really want try both the strains you’re running too...
and then the rest of their catalog...arghhhhh :yoinks:

i’ll be honest - Skywalker looks incredible
But
Fantasmo x Stomper?
go have a peak at their individual descriptions and lineage on the Mephisto site...can only imagine the kinda offspring they could produce

Thanks buddy. Yeah, I could stare at her for hours. I love the natural structure of these busy little indicas and thick leaves. It's almost a shame to train at all.
With the cool temps around here at the moment I'm hoping that we'll see some of those pink hues in the buds too.

I don't think either of these strains are going to be monstrous in size so I'll definitely pop another seed in a week or so. Struggling on deciding whether it'll be a Skywalker, or a Fanstasmo Express x Sour Stomper. After @Medimadness pointed me in the way of Zamnesia, I'm really liking the look of their Critical Cheese too. First world problems eh?

if you like training too the Critical cheese is so forgiving, you can bash her around and she’ll somehow seem to thank for you it. Late last night on multiple stems i did some supercropping and you can barely tell anything happens from the top about 10 hours later. It’s pretty crazy.

i’m trying to stick to classics at the moment but i think i can consider Skywalker a modern classic and grab some beans ASAP.

i remember such euphoric zen like concentration from Skywalker OG it makes that creative part of the brain tingle with joy

Wow! You've done an amazing job there my man.

I'll definitely be using LST on this one. It's just tough with such a stocky little bush and I don't want to end up pulling half the plant into the dirt. We shall see... Perhaps they'll be better letting them go au naturel. Maybe I'll try that on the one that had the earlier stress from cal def/light stress. 4AM is taking it in her stride and pointing back up already.

cheers man but really i don’t think it’s me, i even snapped one stem clean off on one supercropping attempt. it’s the strain man, so hightly resistant. not bad for a free seed.

Glad to hear things are picking up dude.

if you have a stocky little bush you want to LST topping can be critical to structure, or you could just LST and defoliate a little bit on the side of the bend. But if you do it slow enough, the plant will have time to recover between slight bends so you’ll end up with less/ no leaves in the dirt. you can also gently bend some leaves into better positions but it’s best to let the plant do that herself.

i’m going to try just LST on the Blue 2 so we’re facing similar problems with these bushes

Topping autos scares me but your accidental topping seems to have worked wonders. Decisions, decisions... Obviously some people here have had great results doing so but they're all better growers than me. Having trouble trusting myself...

exactly this, and the critical cheese was also topped and responded well so far. Also a lot of the more experienced auto guys seem to double top sometimes too so i think it just depends on what your growing.

with mephisto genetics that are healthy i couldn’t see why not, you could lose an inch of height but since most of the genuine growth like stem elongation and increased foliage only really start to happen during late veg/early bloom any time before that the plant is mainly focusing on structure and support so it just depends on the situation.

will losing that inch or 2 of height increase yeilds with more colas or will it decrease it with stunting, that’s the nerve wracking part. but then there’s only one way to find out if it works for you *snip snip* lol

topping autos seems to be quite a controversial subject but so far i haven’t seen any compelling evidence that says you can’t do it tbf and even so until that main stem snapped and then rewarded me my training fears are long gone but then i won’t really find out how well it’s gone till they’re chopped either

Well there are two of the SNs so it's probably worth giving it a shot. I'll need to work up some courage first but it would be good to get over this potentially irrational fear. I'll never know unless I try I guess.

Yikes... am I really gonna do this!?
