I'm about to run out for the same reason, though having half a pound, ever, isn't something I can even imagine at this point. :cools:

Does anyone know the cause of these black lines around the leaf edge and tips? It's kinda hard to see on camera but it's like a black outline around all the leaves. This is CDLC

Not sure what would cause the black edges and tips, sorry to hear it’s still giving issues. At this point though I suspect an issue in the root zone, and some low-ish leaf temps. Not sure why she’d pray and the droop other than she’s finally getting enough light but not enough foliage…there’s only so much turn-over the “photosynthetic machinery” inside each leaf can produce each day. So maybe she’s happy happy for a bit, then maxes out her photosynthetic capacity and wants to go night night? My best grow was like clockwork, perky n’ beautiful all day long and then about 1-2 hours before lights out went all droopy and sad AF looking.

I did go to my local hydro store to buy some super soil or ffof. But the dude at the store told me that my plants are growing slow because I started them in them big ass pots. So he basically talked me out of soil and told me to start using solo cups or peet pellets to start my seeds. He said coco is the way to go.

Opinions bro, everyone’s gonna have one. Plenty of growers start in the final pot with great success, just gotta find what works for you and that’s all that matters. Because I only run 1-2 plants in my tiny tent I start my seeds in a soak, then in paper towels to get a taproot, and then Rapid Rooter cubes to make sure they fully root before going into their final home…bag of 50 Rooter cubes for about $18 so they’re not cheap cheap, but I didn’t get through my first bag of ‘em before deciding to get a fresh batch…and that’s with me “wasting” a few as blanks for my heat mat probe during germination and some for my veggie and fruit seedlings. So cost per grow to me has been fair.

I do prefer coco, but plenty of merits for soil growing too. There’s also growmies doing rockwool blocks seed to harvest and growing top notch beasts. Again, just gotta find YOUR medium of choice and the rest don’t matter! I’m liking the Fox Farms Cultivation Nation (70/30 coco/perlite), was about $40 for the bag. First grow using it and barely made a dent in the bag for two 1 gallon and a Solo cup sized pot. If you did 4 x 3 gal grows each time it’d get you 2-3 runs
