I've had better luck with the 1 gallon plastic bags then 1gal fabric bags. I think the plastic bags stay a little wetter since they're forced to drain from the bottom instead of the easiest spot for it to drain from

Also those black edges could be genetic. Cldc is pretty often a black/purple plant. And no need to buy fresh coco, just pull out the roots, flush and buffer it yourself. Cool things about coco is it's reusable and it's easy to "reset" it
Are you testing your runoff while you flush? Are you adding calmag to your flush? It takes way more then I though though it would to get 3 or 5 gallon pots flushed
Yes I checked the runnoff. It was at 989 ppm at a ph of 6.8 . I got it down to 357 ppm at a ph of 6.3.

Bro I am so confused on why these ladies are not growing. It has me so depressed smh. After the miracle turn around last time I thought this grow was going to be easy. After I witnessed the turn around last time i was like wow coco is awesome. But idk if I got a bunk bag of coco or what. Also I realized I was over feeding. My runnoff kept getting higher and higher. But I was only feeding 450 ppm . So for some reason they are not up taking the available nutes. pH was ok. Between the 3 plants it was 6.5-6.8. I feed at a ph of 5.6

That should be totally fine. Calibrated your meters?
Yea I calibrate once a week. Well I calibrate my ph meter. My 2 TDS meters don't allow for calibration unfortunately. I will have to get one that can be calibrated

I tested my TDS meter with a table salt equation but I forgot how much salt and how much water lol.

Generally if you're getting that kind of build up from feed to runoff it means they're not uptaking something. The plant is pretty yellow so it's not getting nitrogen at the very least I'd guess. Calcium/magnesium can lock out nitrogen. This could be an issue from not preparing the coco originally and you're chasing it around. That runoff pH is so high that the plants also won't drink correctly that high. I'm using these floraflex 1 gallon bags currently that come with their own "buffered and phd" coco in them and were 700ppm out of the box and I needed to treat them before using

How are you mixing? And silica as a buffer?
I use DynaGro Nutrients and they are designed to be used with the Protekt silica.
First I add the silica then wait a half hour at least. Then I mix the Cal Mag then the grow. When I use the Protekt it raises the pH almost like a ph up. If I don't use the Protekt I have to buffer the solution first with pH up and it was causing precipitate. I could be wrong in using the silica for a flush. I am a noob. Lol
