Here we go for another journal. I essentially have two plants in flower and two in veg these days. As I finish up a Charlotte’s Angel CBD and an Oasis Genetics Lemon Drop, I’ve germed one of each of the above.

I dropped both seeds in un-pH’d RO water for 24 hours then straight into paper towel and sandwich bags. Placed it all on a heat mat and within 36 hours tails were popped.

The seeds went straight into solo cups with coco/perlite precharge s with a weak solution of MC and recharge for the root innoculant. Within 18 hours both seeds were up.

DAY 12.

Not much going on in the first 10 days. Northern Lights started off quickly but got a bit twisted up and began turning pale. I upped their nutes and all seems to be going well. I bottom dunk them in nutes now for watering.

Not a dumb question at all. You can smoke it but I infuse MCT oil with decarbed plant material. I use that daily.

DAY 15 - Transplant Day

HBSS and NL were looking good and starting to get root bound so I hydrated some coco/perlite with 4g/G MC 2.0, 2.0 g/G Calmag, 1g/G SC, and about 2 g/G Recharge.
I’ll let them settle in for a day or two and begin LST. They will likely be larger plants so I’d rather manage them as a bush rather than a tree.

DAY 22 - I am trying a manifold technique on the Northern Lights for the first time. I have waited until 6 nodes were grown out to establish a solid root system before stressing the plant with topping. I then topped above the third node.

She is just getting LST, I started a bit later than I would normally but not the end of the world.

DAY 29 - HBSS

She has been getting some fairly lazy LST. Feeding EC 1.4 at pH 6.2. Temps in the garage have been about -5C. I’ve fully insulated the tent for this condition, and I run my 600W HPS to give light and heat as opposed to just running my heater. I have one end of the light ducted outside of the temp. When the temp gets too warm, the exhaust fan comes on and passively draws air through the cool tube of the HPS. It warms the incoming air, cooling the light, and warming the tent as the other end of the light is open to the tent. Temps in the tent are approx 25.5C at 50% RH consistently.

My manifolding test subject, already topped at the 3rd node after growing 6 nodes. She is almost ready to be topped at the 4th node of the remaining colas which should make 8 colas.

DAY 33 -
Well I screwed up on my Northern Lights and lopped off the wrong branch when I was manifolding. She’s healthy otherwise so I will just train her out a bit and let her do her thing.

She is cruising along with lots of roots pushing out of the pot and air pruning. I have not taken anything off of her yet but that is coming soon. She is just spreading out as I train to keep her canopy flat.
