That sucks, too late now but I soak my pot 12 hours before planting. Then the only watering she gets after that for a week or so is the misting on my homemade plastic dome.

Thank you so much. After re reading your reply earlier I do have one more thing to pick your brain on. I'm running 3 and 5 gal pots(depending on strain size)The 3 gallon pot takes one week to dry out in my tent,(it says 3gallon but it's 3 trade gal I beleive. Really 2 actual gal lmao-measured it. and that's with no plant in it, just soaked empty. The 5er takes a looooing time bro without an established plant before it begins to dry.

Can you elaborate on your pot set up a bit more? You run 1.5gal pots with peat, perlite, and coco?(off my head without scanning the thread)
Is that your final pot? Or do you transplant?
I'm trying something new this run I've germing rn. 2 are being started in solo cups with peat and perlite. One will go into a 5l hempy I've prepped with perlite/vermiculite, one into a 5 gal pot. The 5 gal pot was soaked on Sunday It's starting to dry out on top. The last seed was soaked for 12 hrs and germed in a dry 3 gal pot as usual.

Nothing has sprouted thus far, but when they do I'm planning on putting the cups in their pots and start light feeds just in the solo cup area.

Kind of a jumbled ramble but I'd love to hear your input @Rollin_along

Those are my final pots, I did this to keep the plant size down, which helps a little, that and getting the lights as close as I can without burn. My plants end up at 18 to 24" . If I had the space I would go with 3 gal pots. Yes I use the local hardware store seed and seedling with has a bit of Coco and peat in it, then mix in about 20% Coco and vermiculite. I only use vermiculite because it looks more earthy when I am done and have to get rid of it in the garden. I don't want a load of perlite white rocks everywhere lol. I think that answered it, if not ask away. I will help where I can.

Just noticed something else, I soak my pot 12 hours before I plant, at the same time as I drop my seed into water. I then plant the seed in the soaked pot and cover the seed location with a plastic dome (read bottom of soda bottle). I then keep in a warm place (bedroom) until she pops up. I mist the dome once a day. I then wait until the pot gets light. I had one go 2 weeks until next deep soak recently since it's colder. I did give a light water in between just in case (about 100ml) didn't want her drying out completely.
