New Grower Mephisto double grape

I will but I'm going to wait until the tent clears out it'll be a month or so because it's gonna need all the room lmao. I want to do a 5.1l hempy with I'm thinking the samsquanchxhbss freebies from last promon run. Or maybee avt, Mbap, sal...it's gonna be a last min impulse but I'd like to be one of the first on that bubbasquatch! Should be interesting never ran a hempy, will have a learning curve for sure. I'm still figuring out soil but I guess it's pretty hard to overwater perlite and a rez lmao unless your a total dumbass. It's gonna be the opposite, needing 2x/day feeds at least which is high maintenance for me with my work sched and all. But I wanna see what 200w cobs, dyna grow, and a 5.1 l hempy can do. I pulled very respectable weight off my 3 gal soil Tyrone special with dyna gro and jacks basically. And it wasn't the only plant in the tent lol.

I'm going to salvage this journal and pop my last double I don't have any more soil atm and low on resources/funds-so I'm reusing old roots organics original. I dumped it out broke up the clumps and mixed it up, picking out any roots still left. After that in the pot it went to be flushed with phd tap to rid left over salts, last gallon distilled water with 1tsp recharge. I will germ the bean when the pot dries out in about a week, and the 4am comes down. I don't like, or am not accustomed to, starting pots wet. I also just received my greenleaf nutrients megacrop in the mail today-so I will be able to test and log results going exactly off their feed chart unless adjustments are needed. I will say preliminary tests prove excellent. With my city hard tap the max and min doses stayed between 6-7 ph no adjustments needed! Ppms were 150 at min and 650 max(just nutes, my tap adds 160). Pretty stoked on all that. One bag, that's it. I'm going to get a bag of their cal mag on hand jic, cobs and all. That's it for now. Will keep posted when seed is popped.

Ok. Maybee you can help me figure out how to start wet lmao. The last time I tried my plant damped off. Can you tell me exactly to a t how you do it? Like how much do you let it dry out, if at all. Does it come down to timing the germination??do you pop the bean in the pot right after soaking? I had issues with my pots just not drying the f out but that was my old setup ghetto highbay style no tent no extraction, prob wasn't 82-84f /30%rh like my tent is now?im just nervous to fuck with what I have working for me rn, but I also possibly see advantages to starting wet, and would like to figure it out to compare to my dry start, also would mean I can finally use lime properly if I so wish. I've learned to ph very very well

I have used paper towel or soaked my seed to germinate. If paper towel then I soak my pot when the root sprouts and then plant in soil 12 hours later. I don't water for the first week. My soil is seedling soil with 20% Coco and vermiculite btw. If i am soaking the seed then 12 hours after I dropped the seed in water is when I soak the pot. I put a bottle bottom over where my seed is and just spray the inside of this dome once a day. No other watering. The plant then roots and searches for the water as the pot drys out. After week one I totally soak the pot again and wait another week. I use regular plastic pots 1.2 gals. If it is an airport or bigger or smaller it would need adjusting for timing of next water.

Thanks a bunch @Rollin_along that helps a lot. I popped the one other dg seed this morning after soaking overnite. 4am is coming down this week to make space, and my 2 gal pot has started drying out on top but still feels pretty heavy. This is old roots original flushed to 40ppm 6.0 runoff after about a 15 gal flush. I will water with about a tablespoon a day until it sprouts and let her ride out the first week and see how it goes. I'm really nervous. One thing I just realized-she will need nutes if I'm waiting a week to water? Maybee she has enough in her coytledons to get through the first week maybee?

If it dries out quicker then water sooner. I do a week but I'm in soil. I have done 10 plus grows this way.

Sounds good. Do you water when the pots fully dry? And to runoff every time? Hopefully she works out. If not I'll at least learn something!

She didn't make it above soil. It's been two weeks I went digging and it was just under the surface, no tap root, all rotten looking. That's all she wrote on dg beans. Shux.
