New Grower Mephisto and Night Owl in Living Organic Coco

Many people also like the versatility of the auto pots, so much so that they have their own sub forum here. Regardless of opinions within this thread many people rank DWC tops and Autopots a close second for yield and ease of use. Of course for taste most people believe organic is the way to go but I find no complaints.

When I was looking at the EarthBox I was thinking my biggest issue with it was the 1.5 gallon reservoir, that automatic watering expansion is pretty cool. I wonder if it would work with a reservoir or if it has to be a spigot. I'm pretty sure at least a couple of these will be utilized my next run.

the autowater system can be adapted to any tank setup, visit local Home Cheapo for parts necessary but I’m sure it can - Let me say I have no hands on experience so a little investigating before hand ......

Anynhelp you need setting up or the extra things you can do, just tag me!

Peace,
MOB

PS .... I don’t believe you I’ll find an easier, more hands off, worry free way to grow. Just follow along with SlowandEasy and in about 10-12 days watch the unreal growth that’s about to happen!

It's obviously not going to happen but wouldn't it be hilarious if my plants just exploded and blew Slow's away? :haha: I actually have a White Crack growing as well. It's the one without a white stake, in the back right on the left side of the tent.

@IDontExist Hey there, it looks like a rocky start? I have been an outdoor organic farmer longer than it has been a thing. I had an alergic reaction to pesticides when I was young and the memory just stuck with me. I just avoided all pesticides in my control. I learned over many years that good organic living soil requires many many years of inputs to get to the desired results. Trying to achieve that indoors is a lofty goal but will come with many potential shortages. I used to carry soil indoors in pots from my garden but I have a bad back now 10+ years and that just is not an option. So I went hydro where pumps do all of the heavy lifting. Organic is not a good choice for hydro although possible it is hard to control the variables with enough speed to respond to the plants immediate needs. This is a long winded way of getting to my observation that your plants look hungry and could use 500-600 PPMs of MegaCrop. I think you can still get 500g for the price of shipping on Amazon. Lower your lights a bit also.

Do you have any Far Red LEDs 720nm (called an initiator puck)? If you run them for 15 minutes at lights out for 7 days it will encourage more stretch and you may be able to save something out of this grow. The clock is ticking.

Could be worse. I actually just spent like 45 minutes looking at as many 21 day old autoflowers as I could find and I'm not sure why you guys are getting so down on me. A few of my plants are clearly roughed up but most of the others seem to fall in the range of what I was seeing. The way a few of you guys are talking you'd think this was barely salvageable.

I know they are looking a bit yellow and hope that is just the lighting, my buddy says they look green and healthy so I am eager to see them in person. In a few days they are due for a top dressing, if they look hungry I'll probably make a tea as well.

I don't have any of the pucks, all I have is what I listed in my first post. I will look into them for sure though.

I did not do the math  I just read 4 weeks so yeah not as bad as I thought for 3 weeks!

@IDontExist and @Mañ'O'Green ...... Sorry to disagree but the plants at 21ish days old are not up to speed and the color is not right ..... I’m not trying getting down on you, just the opposite I’m trying to help you improve and have some nice buds X weeks / months away .....

Here is a pic of a mephisto Battle Plant per journal at 21 days old ..... I have day by day growth of her indoors in bagged LOS .... click on link and look and go back a page or forward and follow a day by day update

@Mañ'O'Green Organic Growing inside is just the right bag of soil away ..... I too have grown organics since 1978 and have just a few indoor grows under belt and only really one since Reagan Days .... to state you can’t do it inside is wrong sir.

Peace,
OB

That is a nice plant. The best of the litter and a good example of when everything is working well including the genetics.

Here are what my typical 21 day plants look like:

The 3 you "almost threw out" are way behind normal and you admit that you have gnats. That alone is reason enough to those 3 out. Are you doing anything to get rid of them? Besides yellow stickies? Knowingly having pests should be in your very first post. If you want help from others, you have to disclose the negative aspects or we can't properly help you to fix your problems. I had to assume that you had gnats, because of the picture. They could be one of the causes of your problems. Until you address that issue, nothing else matters. Go buy some Mosquito dunks and crush them up in your Coco. Keep your place clear of runoff. If you think you know the source of the gnats, get rid of it. Don't use that Coco if you think it has pests. Good luck, slow
