New Grower Medimadness’ rotating garden of lunacy.

Quick update on Val, felt that it was time for LST to begin. Bamboo staking with adujastable string, just pulling her to one side for now, no defoliation necessary due to elevating plant from surrounding area with the transplant pot. Glad i used it this time, it’s giving so much more space to work with!

Good bend in my opinion, tomorrow i will make a few more minor adjustments until those side branches are mature enough to handle some LST to level the canopy.

Hey guys,

Hope everyone is having a great saturday!

Just an update here for my current crop and training.

Blueberry Auto Val day 51 in soil:
Val’s issues with feeding errors have all but disappeared with a little more care on my part. Have defoliated very lightly to open up the Buds to light a little more. She’s doing well since resumed feeding yesterday and moving along right on track.
Height seems to have stabilised now.

Critical Cheese Auto Greta day 40 in soil:
Same as Val all pH and feeding issues are resolved and was resumed to a light bloom feed. She seems to be doing really well and entered fully into flower with pistils and calyx mass forming and cola elongation coming along very rapidly, soon to catch up with Val.
Her smell is getting stronger by the day and doing really well.

Blueberry Auto Matilda day 26 in soil:
Lightly defoliated and opened up for the bends. Started some early LST get the 6 new main colas to grow out evenly. I like to work from a bent stem and staking at first when they’re young to avoid putting the tension from all the individual bends on the main stem.

Even so i was a tiny bit too rough with her on one of the bends but she seems to be doing okay despite a tiny split. I applied a little parafin and a small plaster to repair and we’ll see what happens. I’ve seen them come back from worse.

White Widow Auto Broomehilda day 14 in soil:
She’s doing really well and even needed a little water recently so i know the root system is developing well in there.
Have started tying her down a little as her height is a little much, and every couple inches makes a huge difference. I also quite like working from bent mainstems as i can add bamboo staking quite easily.

Dr. Feelgood Auto Amelia day 6 in soil:
She seems to be doing well despite a little stretching which seems to be resolved now and finger leaves are developing well. Used transplant pot to pot her into a 2L as i noticed a dry spot at the bottom of the starter pot but that’s fine as i was planning to transplant soon anyway.

Anyway guys I hope you have a great weekend!

peace and love :pighug:

Looking great in there, Medi! I especially love your white light pictures, as I can see the beautiful shade of green and the detail in those buds! Checking this out for sure!

Cheers man, I want to upgrade to a 5000k lamp soon and payday can’t come sooner. But i make do with what i have and clean up the pics and stuff :d5: glad to have you along

Your ladies are looking good Medi. I’m heading into the stretch myself and a bit worried about the main stem. Can I supercrop twice?

As long as it’s fully healed from the last time and she not being stressed im any other way I don’t see why not, a few guys do 2 part supercropping when they bend in two different directions (Like bend right at bottom node, bend left 3 nodes up) to open up the canopy without having to add stakes and stuff during flowering.
Only problems i can imagine is just too much SC at once or SC on a stem that isn’t fully healed from the last one.

OK that makes perfect sense. I’m keeping that in mind in case this gets out of hand.

Hey guys quick update here because growth is still exploding and I’ve made a few adjustments to feeding.

Thanks @archie gemmill for the tip with lemon juice, don’t seem to need anything else to adjust.
Depending on the mix I just add 2-4ml of the bottled lemon juice to every 2L of feed and take the mix down to around pH 6.5 and my soil now reads average 6.8 which is perfect. Val and Greta seemed to really love it.

A few pics of Val and Greta, with them both competing for space a little now. Can’t wait for payday to get the small oscillating fans so they can have a little more space.

And a few i’m natural light. Any yellow appearance is just lighting now, her colouring went completely back to normal after pH went back down.

The mishap with the slightly split base of the cola on Tilda seems to have left her unphased and seems to be healing fine with the added parafin and plaster to cover and provide healing environment. Luckily I think Xylem and Phloem were undamaged and so growth hasn’t been stunted as far as i can tell.

I’m also very impressed with the pheno provided by Dope Seeds with this white widow. Broomehilda is a fantastic little seedling with very vigorous growth and TBH is displaying much stronger and healthier genetics than what i got from Zamnesia but that’s just appearance

And here we have Amelia Dr. feelgood coming along nicely. Fingerleaves developing nicely.
