New Grower Medimadness’ rotating garden of lunacy.

@Rollin_along cheers man, I am very pleased. Huge difference from my last grow a few years ago, just shows what a little (by little I mean quite a lot lol) research and investment can achieve instead of just half-assing everything haha

hey guys. pic and progress update on my current plants. all of them thriving so far :woohoo1:

smoked some lovely Super Lemon Haze which i saved for the weekend grown by a friend of mine but he has sadly promised parts of his crops to others already so a taste is all i get :nono: either way it gave me that boost to actually take some photos with decent lighting so you guys and really see colouring and give it a little scale m.

have had to water the blueberry 1l much more often, sometimes every day. should i increase the amount with which i’m feeding? i’m a little wary of over feeding so if sticking with the amount and increasing the frequency is okay i’ll stick with that because i don’t water until i’m certain they needs and so far i have no problems

critical cheese is also drinking more, and growing in well. had to do some minor defoliation for the bend and some old leaves were blocking airflow and dragging in the dirt and she seems to have thanked me for it

blueberry 2 is really coming on, developing first true leaves and entering into toddlerhood

I also planted a white widow auto last night which i think fits best as it’s a sativa dominant strain it’s flowering is longer than the rest and i should have room for her as long as i don’t mess with her shape. won’t be able to fit another bush

hope you all have a lovely Sunday flying high and if in the UK enjoying spending a little time with the plants and/-or family in what might be the last bit of sun for the year haha :cooldance:
Looking beautiful, really nice even structure they're beginning to form.

@Froot n Fuel @NiceOption Cheers guys, I put a bit of time into the LST and I'm glad it's paying off :toke:

I have also cut down the amount of nutes in my standard feeding schedule by 25% and began a bit of very light foliar feeding for the critical cheese with just my organic grow mix as she took to it really well last night. Not a big fan of cheese flavours so I'm just really using her to learn some essential skills.

Going to leave the blueberry alone though as I haven't personally foliar fed autos before and don't want to risk messing her up with her starting to flower and a couple burnt tips from an overfeed last week

Will update with pics later as I want to get some good ones with this sunlight :coco:

Just a quick update on the critical cheese, let's call her Greta from now on lol and blueberry no. 2, also known as Tilda.

Looking back at my seedlings I've realised that they've all suffered with light/heat stress likely caused by misplaced light and not having a dimmable ballast so I'm doing a lot of research into lighting, I'm glad I didn't start employing sidelighting until I know what I'm doing with lights. Makes you realise how great interacting on a forum can be because I only pieced it together when replying to someine else! Part of the learning curve I guess!

Anyway she responded so well to the foliar feed last night that I had to do another couple of bends to keep things level. Looking great.

I also improved staking by getting two wooded sticks and tying them together to form a very strong stake that is easy to secure and adjust. Thought it was a pretty bright idea to increase traction and reduce root disturbance due to the smooth edges and small size so I'd thought I'd share.

Happy growing peoples :pass:

Another update here, been quite busy in the tents this early morning doing some very gentle LST adjustments on the Blueberry No 1 (Val) shown here

She’s truly coming into her own now, i think i’m good to leave her alone im terms of LST because I got things as even and open as possible with my current sized pots. i think im gonna go for a 15l smart pot soon to see if it gives me any more working room.

Her preflowers (is that the right term at this stage?) really seem to be coming along now

And here’s the Critical Cheese (Greta), i made a few more minor adjustments to the LST and also defoliated a bit of foliage for the bend but kept as much as possible.

Haven’t foliar fed her today as i planned on stressing her a bit and didn’t want to push things.

Here's Blueberry Auto no. 2 (Tilda), really coming along into a little ganja plant now

I also improved my organisation to ensure smooth crop rotation and to give me more to look back at!

Anyway all the best guys, happy growing

you're a natural LST'er mate, really dig the structure on both of 'em!
if i manage to get my new seedling to quit frickin' stretching i might be able to have a decent go at LST this time around too.
i know where to come for tips

how many days for Val?

Very nice dense growth and nice LST job. Looking good and healthy. Keep it up and you should have some awesome buds!

of course man always happy to help man :bighug: I am cheating a little though by working with tomatoes and vines though none of those bends are so tense!

Thanks for the compliment man, i am very proud of myself so far :pighug:a sense of accomplishment i’ve been searching for

@wes Thanks man, i’ve put a lot of time so i’m glad i have something to show for it.

appreciate the kind words

peace and love :vibes:

Reminds me of the guy who uses chopsticks with either toothpicks drilled in or clothes pegs glued on them. Great ideas!
