New Grower MCPD_Refugee loses his virginity to White Widow and Blueberry

Deep breaths pal, them buds look great, OK, there's lots to read up on this stage, lots of different opinions, and again it will come down to personal preference,.
Ille tell you what I do, if i start to see some amber, ille take a bud ,dry it on top of led and smoke it , and decide from that  simple as that,

I go for multiple harvests, take the top then leave the bottom for another week say,if needed

Again great grow and buds, your nearly thiere nothing going to go wrong now,,, get another planted quick:thumbsup: in fact why didn't you do it a couple weeks ago:coffee:

No need to worry about what breeder says, every plant an individual grown in a individual space with many variables , just worry about your plant, happy growing, your only going to get better and better

All of the buds have some amber trichomes on them. Some more than others.

The breeder's website lists 55 days of "average flowering time." So, she flipped into flower almost immediately after I topped her on day 14. That would be 69 to 70 days. Today is Day 51. If I feed until tomorrow and then switch to water, she'll get harvested on day 62. Given the Cal/Mag and light issue and the fact that I topped her, I'd say that would put me close enough to the breeder's "average flowering time" for me to be happy.

I just have no idea what I'm doing and feel like I'm making this all up as I go along. It's one thing to read about this stuff and quite another to actually do it yourself.
Experience is the greatest instructor, and the result will be worth it. A person appreciates their flowers that much more because of it. Can I ask what mcpd is? I've wondered for a while now. I was going to say McDonald's Pedestrian, but that doesn't sound correct.

Thanks for the reality check and advice.

Day 53

Today I started my Blueberry on distilled water only. Not that I think a flush or anything like that is needed, but it's my first grow and I'm trying to stick to TaNg's schedule for this one. If I am even moderately successful with this grow, I will change things up a little bit on the next grow. I'm still feeding the White Widow and will until next Friday or Saturday depending on what the trichromes tell me. Her main cola is getting fat. I haven't said anything to her about it because my experience is that the ladies are sensitive about their weight.

Here's the photos. Sorry about their orientation...you'd think I'd learn by now. First the Blueberry:

Thanks, Archie. I am slowly learning not to freak out at every little thing. It's difficult when you have no idea what's going on. And then I kind of stumbled onto the right answer that nobody was expecting - not even me. You've been one of the many voices of reason to come through here. I really appreciate the reality checks. I do. I just have a difficult time letting go of the stress. Hopefully that changes in a few weeks. :baked: Hahaha!

It's been so long since I've smoked anything that I don't know what I like. The last thing I smoked was some compressed Mexican brick weed back in the early 90's. I have no idea what the strain was. No clue how it was grown. Definitely not top shelf stuff. I'm thinking that whatever I can do will be better than that. So I'm pretty sure there's going to be a series of trials and refinements in my future. What I think I want is something to mellow me out and let me sleep for more than four hours a night.

I would love be able to grow perpetually. I feel like I'm kind of walking a fine line with the missus (cheese & kisses). I also don't know how I'm going to smoke as much as I'm going to grow as it is. But I do like variety. I will probably take a month long break and start with my next ones. I think I'm going to go with a Blackberry and a Pineapple Express from FastBuds.

Damn your girls look good. I hope mine turn out like that!

I've seen your journal. I'm not as well read as @archie gemmill, but I read A LOT of threads on here. You will harvest a lot more than I will. You've got a massive jungle on your hands.I'm kind of constrained by the size and scope of my growing environment. Even so, my plants ended up staying on the small side. Each plant is only about 14" (35.5 cm) from the top of the soil. It turns out that I was pulverizing them with my light and causing major nutritional deficiencies. My next grow will be better.

My one piece of advice would be to stick to your feeding schedule and read your plants. If your plants look like the tips are burning, back off on your nutrients a bit. If they're looking like they've got a deficiency, bump up the nutes a bit. But for the most part, just follow the schedule. You're using @A-Train's schedule, right? He knows his shit! He's got some absolutely massive grows under his belt.

Don't be afraid to ask questions if you have them. As you can see from my journal, I did not do this alone. I've had help from some great people. That's the best part about AFN...these people are awesome. And I haven't even scratched the surface of the depth and breadth of this site yet.
