Lighting Maximizing terpenes under AutoCobs?

Hey everyone! Had a thought earlier, it seems as though the crops I've harvested so far under my AutoCobs vs the ones under my Platinum P300 are no where near as strong tasting or fragrant smelling, they all smell and taste a bit so-so (although look great!). Both were treated exactly the same apart from the light, and whole plant hung, and trimmed dry. This has been the case on several grows, so I know it's not simply a case of genetics, for example. I can see the plants absolutely love the light, so it must be something I'm doing wrong, or could be doing better...

What distances are you all keeping your AutoCobs throughout the plants life, especially through flower? How many lights on average are you finding per plant is optimum? I can only think I've got them a bit close during flower.

Any other advice is extremely welcome!

just my thoughts on the subject no experiance with cobs i own a good full spectrum led but are you running a mix of cobs or are they all 3500k etc. i think that a mixed spectrum will develop a better smell and taste like i say thats just my thinking could be completely wrong interested to see what others say

I think I was too close too during flower for a few grows. I'm now at 20 to 24 inches during flower. But I can't say if that helps terps better compared to hanging them closer. But you might be on the right track. Will be interesting to see what others say.

I was listening to an interview with someone from fluence... They said the best theyve found for terp production was cmh. For leds the 4k spectrum tends to build terps over the 3k or 3500. Again, im just repeating what some pro said while plugging their own stuff.

I should probably have stated - I use the 3500K models through veg and gradually introduce the 3000k and 2700K to finish up for the last few weeks. I am quite lax with my autocob distances - I've just raised them to 30 inches above the pots again, 1 month into the grow, as I think they were a bit overwhelmed with 25 inches. - @BigSm0 you might be able to advise on the best distance practise through the various stages of growth?

Id say 34. 26 in flower. If 24x7.

30”-36” for veg, 22”-26” for flower. Anything lower than 20” and leaves start to crisp up for me.
