Thanks again Tina that makes perfect sense and thanks for explaining,plus rep. May I ask if you have the opportunity to test your lights/spectrum with Cannabis before release? I know in the case of seeds and growing equipment in Europe Spain has recently become a hot bed for development and testing.

Hello Feenix, thank you for your kind words, but unfortuanately our lights cannot be added with a dimmer. :tiphat:

Hello Tina, welcome to AFN and thank you for giving us direct access to your knowlege.

I am looking at the 144 x 3w reflector lamp for my small cabinet for 1 grow then it will be moved to a larger tent that has yet to be purchased. My question is, can the light be hooked to a dimmer? That would solve any headroom problems from a large plant in that one run with limited head space.

Haha Son of Hobbies, really looking forward to the grow journal.

I've got the Mars II 1600W, pop! It's a beast! I haven't grown under it yet; I'm waiting on some fem seeds and I bit the bullet and grabbed myself a new grow tent (which coincidentally is a Mars II 4' 9" x 4' 9" Grow Tent (and that one I BOUGHT, in case some of you were wondering (and you secretly were!)))

My original 4 x 4 tent is pretty shot; duct tape covering pinholes and the damn cat called it home for awhile at our last residence, so some of the corner stitching is all frayed and frizzy. Then the ceiling (this was at our old place) was like 2 inches shorter than the damn tent height, so out came the hacksaw and a couple beers. After the beers were gone, I said to myself "oh yeah I was going to do something with this hacksaw!" Four incredibly precisely uneven cuts later, I had me a modified grow tent that fit into what apparently was a basement built for Dorf (and if you aren't familiar with Dorf, google it. Best investment of VHS tapes money can buy.)

So needless to say, the tent is pretty well shot. I found a cracked plastic corner piece on one of the ends and that was a big push for "welllll, new light? let's get a new tent too." I know you can order the replacement corner pieces but hey. Let me justify my shopping, alright?

I too am curious about the Sun Series! Will be interesting to see how they perform! This is all new territory for me though with the LED's, so here's to hoping for some good buds and hopefully not too steep of a learning curve! :Cheers:

I have the 192 x 3w reflector light I purchased back in December I believe. I believe I worked with Lisa? I am nearing the start of my first grow. I have two tents, one I will grow my autos (2 Candy Kush) in the tent with a G8 led and some power compacts. In the other tent I will use the 192x3w reflector Mars Hydro led and grow photoperiod (2 Critical Kush) ladies. I will write up a review at the completion of the grow. It is a pleasure to meet you. I have 2 questions if you don't mind 1 personal and 1 technical: 1. Why did you folks decide on people names instead of pseudonyms or catchy light names. I doubt seriously your parents named you "Tina". Please understand I mean no disrespect, just curious about the thought process that led you folks to decide on names. 2. From the conversation here, I gather I should have my light on veg. Until it is time to go into bloom when I should turn on both veg. and bloom until the end of the grow. Is that correct? Thanks so much for your time and knowledge.

Glad to meet you paddler54 :tiphat:, for the names, I do not know others, just thought if I use my name, peopel can recognise me better. For sure my parents do not give me the name Tina, we donot speak English much in China. I give myself the name instead. haha! And for the 192x3w reflector, yes, you need to turn both bottom on when you do flower.
