Mars Hydro TS600 Foaming Up? Lol

Ts1000 came today...

So here’s my honest review of it so far. A much better build than her younger sister the ts600. However, off the bat as I picked the light up out of its box, two screws came flying out and into the box lol... can’t complain though they sent me it for free but I recommend whoever builds these actually makes sure the screws are tight.. because people will be buying it. Both screws came out the pcb board and the screws that mount the driver plate were very loose so I had to tighten those too

However, after putting the two screws back in I decided to fire it up. It produces quite a bit of light and is pretty blinding. I have it over my jammy dodgers right now and will leave a further honest review once she is done.

I like how they have elevated the driver too though. Just gives it that little bit better heat dissipation.

I have seen a couple of autos grown under this and they do pretty nice.

I will see how she does with my 240w kingbrite. Approx 390w in total.

Cheers

Yea good its free :smoking: :smoking:

Got the VST120 put up in my tent today, it's looks a very nice light, very bright :headbang:

Solid build that is! I will be buying one from there in the future for sure. I have enough lighting for my space so I don’t have to really invest in a bigger and better light just yet until I move at some point into a bigger place

I won a ts1000 recently and mine was the same. Screws were loose and 1 was laying in the box.
Pretty sure 1 screw was completely missing too.
I only had 2 or 3 screws holding the driver to the light.

I ended up selling it. I don't trust products that have screws loose and missing on arrival.

About a year ago, I had purchased one of the Mars knockoff AC infinity fans, with digital controller for my indoors 2x4. I'm not sure why I chose the Mars over the AC? Maybe to "be different"? It wasn't much cheaper. It claimed to have all of the same features of the AC version and even the instruction manual was basically copied word for word compared to the AC manual. So I went for it.

Turned out that the fans have (or had) a flaw where they cannot be calibrated if they are off by a decent amount on the temp and RH. Even though it states clearly in the user manual that they could be. This really bothered me since I obviously have hygrometers IN the tent, but I wanted to be able to see a readout on the wall since the tent is used indoors. I needed that feature. If the readings were off by a little bit that would be cool, but they were off by a large margin.

I contacted them and they sent me a new digital controller. Same issue. Then it came to light that the feature wasn't working on any of the controllers and they didn't have any "real plans" to fix them. But they were still selling them and advertising the feature on Amazon. During this ordeal, waiting to get this resolved, my 30 day return window expired on Amazon.

I was offered a single fabric pot, and an in tent hygrometer for my troubles. LOL, I'm a grower. I have fabric pots and hygrometers coming out of my ass! More than that, I was insulted.

I contacted Amazon and provided a copy of the emails stating that the fan does not work as intended and Amazon agreed to take the fan back, but they charged me a restocking fee since it was past the 30 days.

I bought an AC version and it's been flawless.

I left an honest review of the product on Amazon including the fact that I was offered $5 in compensation. And then I started getting stalked by a Mars rep who told me I was ruining their business due to the review and that my review was going to cause her to lose her job. Emails had lots of crying emojis in them. Weird.

She DEMANDED that I remove the review. When I asked if they had fixed the controller issue and if it worked as they were advertising it, she became more aggressive. She finally offered me $20 to remove the review, and I still refused. The only way I could get her to stop emailing me was to threaten to report them to Amazon. Which I did end up doing.

Worst part is that all of the former 1 star reviews were changed to 4-5 stars because they bribed the buyers to change them. My review? Mars ended up getting it deleted after a few months. Just checked the product on Amazon, and there are more 1 star reviews and I bet they will disappear soon enough. I saved all of the email communications and my review.

Anyway, sorry for the long post. I've kept this under my hat for awhile now. I don't like shitting on people buying their stuff. So I don't. But seeing the situation here brought that all back up. Yep, just a fan. But it really brought to light the fact that I will only purchase from companies with great support even if it costs a little more.

Mars just lost me as a potential customer. That behaviour is inexcusable, and the background crap going on about review changes and deletions is the worst part of it. Amazon must also be complicit in this stuff. Thanks for posting your experience.:thanks:

Nice, I got kingbrite too. Auto tent has two and a TS 600 in between for 570w mine are basic 3500k with dim. No other bells or whistles.

I’m thinking it must be the warehouse it comes from… when I got mine it was put together well and practically plug and play. Here is my first Scrog done under a TS 1000. HSO Passionfruit punch.
