Any kind of ventilation is good...

I run two similar fans, one on exhaust and one on input...both on automatic controls activated by heat...Can't express how important heat control is. I even installed a ac/dehumid unit for my tent which lets me run anytime instead of only nights.
That being said, I've run autos always with a photo alongside just for shits and grins. With a separate veg area running 24/0 for 3 weeks, I constantly supply 2 or 3 healthy ladies to the flower tent on 12/12. May miss a gram or two, but I don't miss that higher monthly electric bill.
A monkey fan always moving air in your tent is a good thing...just plug it into a gfi circuit, you're good.

Oh wow that sucks. Did you order from the official website mars-hydro.com?
Yes , that's where I ordered from. Also I'd avoid the kit fan, I don't have any experience with it but for just a bit more you can get a AC Infinity 4" that has automatic temperature and humidity control built in to it. I do have experience with those and haven't had any problems, very nice and quiet fans.

Hi growers, I wanted to have your opinion on the spider farmer Sf1000. I found a grow kit from them extremely similar to the one from Mars Hydro.

Any huge difference between the two lights?

So I decided to get a Mars Hydro TS1000 grow tent kit and the only thing I’m missing is a fan. What would you guys recommend? i saw my local store is selling clip on Monkey Fan and I think it looked nice, I googled it and I found results about it catching fire.

Is there such things as a « safe » (at least safest as possible) fan?

Notice how needlessly long the wire is on your ts1000 driver.
There's a reason.
Mount the driver outside the tent.
It will drop your temps by 4 or 5 degrees c.( 10-15f).

I’ve been told the same thing before. I’ll make sure to do that

@automan2
So I received my TS1000 and tried it all day on my balcony autos and indeed it gets a bit hot inside the tent. I am willing to mount the driver outside of the tent but I have a stupid question; where should I put the driver exactly? On the floor?

@Wico @HighnDry You guys advised me to not run the lights on full power, which intensity level would you recommend? For seedling, veg, flowering?

I'd start it at 75% and 2 feet away, raising the light as needed for the first couple of weeks. You can decide then if you want to bump it up or not

Start a journal in Mars section and I'll keep an eye :pass:

I really dont see the point of buying a 150 watt light only to turn it down, just because you can.... WTF?

Raise the light if need be.

The ts1000 ( as I have tested puts out 550 PAR at 24 inches.
Start seedlings at 48 inches...and lower by 6 inches every week.
Then keep the lights 16 inches above .
