Just got off the phone with Eric Lancaster. A really LONG conversation! TONS of info that I'm gonna have to go thru and write down and organize. It's gonna take a couple of days to compile it all after an hour and 15 min call. Where else can you get a call like that from a company owner?

That's where this discussion should be. It sure is on topic! I can't help but think the covers are a contributing factor. My biggest problem is my past experience with conventional composting. It's a SOLID mindset. The Korean composting and EM1 is TOTALLY foreign to me.....no pun intended!

I know I'm not going to have a problem talking about canna with Eric Lancaster of TeraGanix . He's been on YT with several canna guys. Getting info from EarthBox may prove to be more difficult. I'm hoping Eric can shed some light on dolomite,

I've seen some yt vids by Pedros Growroom and he does eb both ways. Never seen him say why or what he prefers.

THAT'S HOW MY GIRLS GREET ME AT FIRST LIGHT!

It's just so cool to see them eager and all ready to make me some beautiful canna when they first wake up!
With this STUPID front coming thru, with the record-breaking temps(-5*F tonight!) along came the low humidity. My humidifier has been on high!!

Now the left HBSS has started to form buds. Both are growing quite well and a pretty good canopy is beginning to form and looks encouraging. Hopefully the treatment tonight will help bring things around some more.

Left HBSS......slowly deepening green

Right HBSS........slight improvement on greening

The canopy is looking good. It's something I can easily work with. I'm gonna let 'em run for a few more days to let the bud sites come up a little more to what areas need attention. They could easily turn into a hot mess though! LOL!

Purple Kong is getting a BUNCH of bud sites! It will be interesting on which of the two7gal pots make more canna. I think Stomper will be easier to trim up, but I could be mistaken. She's making some frost just not showing up on the pics well.

Now my favorite girl in this grow!!
I just love her structure and bud formation.

Very symmetrical......I tucked two fan leaves today.......90* apart
Low maintenance....so far! The two leaves I tucked today is 1/3 of the leaves I've tucked!
Quick flower, bud and frost.....she is gonna be really frost if she keeps going at this rate and I don't screw it up!

I just went ahead and cut off both covers, so I'm committed now! Added more hay to the spots that were under the covers. Gave both HBSS a half gallon each of the compost tea and Recharge. I didn't have the barley in a warm enough area for it to sprout enough. I'll do that part in the morning.
Gave both the 7gal pots a pint each. No need to overwater them.
I'll have my work cut out for me when I work the HBSS in a couple of days. LOL! Should be fun!

At least my girls are warm and happy this morning with being bathed in light at 78*F and 62%Rh.

It's far worse outside!!! The weather broke all-time records at -7*F!
At least my old 2004 6.0 diesel F250 Ford SuperDuty truck still started this morning, but it had warmed up to -1*F.
Didn't matter though! I couldn't go anywhere! And WON'T be able to go anywhere until it thaws on Saturday!

Hmmmmmm...............I just had a stoner idea and I'm stone-cold sober!
I'll let you guys know if it works!
