Mephisto Genetics Mark SIP grow Toofless alien and gold glue

I know I’m going overboard updating these especially but so surprised how well AND HOW FAST these 2 are growing in the earthbox jr’s! Gonna have to recruit some help for photo tomorrow cuz really hard to get the correct angle here to see how tall this lady is even after tying part of the top (equal to length of box) with shoestring and still is a giant tree! :vibe:

Looking straight down there so can see main is growing sideways so produced this up top:woohoo1:

Produced a whole crown of colas standing tall so I’ll clear out leafs here and there as needed and any secondary branches down below light penetration levels I’ll chop too! Save the energy for the good stuff! Got plenty up top to make for bountiful harvest already! Gonna need more jars!

Hopefully the top off with build a flower last time when I finished off the 2” mound will sustain them to the end! My local shop was out but his display jar basically he gave me big bag of some milled malted
barley so wanna put some for worms in the bin to see how they like it! Fingers are crossed that these will be done in 3 weeks or so but not gonna hold my breath as of now! I’ll keep em updated tho! :smoking:
Also wanna say thanks again @stan_mephisto for giving me the shot to run and journal these! Been living up to mephisto standards so far that’s for sure!:bighug:

Man o man I feel like I finally hit the big time! Saw a thing in dm on IG that mephisto had tagged me cuz added to their story and looked and saw this :woohoo1:

I wouldn't sweat the springtails. If you want to get rid of them from a bag of compost, dry it out real well for a while and they will mostly die off.
To me what it tells me is that the compost contains items that aren't fully broken down just yet which seems to be common for bagged compost now a days. I have heard from other folks that com doesn't age their products as well as they used too years ago when they were a much smaller company, but that's just 'here say' or net talk.
Once a decent worm population is introduced, they will eat the 'food' that the springtails would have, and the springtail population will disappear in short order.
If you have the luxury of time, set a bag of compost upright, open a hole in the top big enough to put your hand in and insert as many worms as you see fit. They will take care of everything for you, and you will have added value to your compost by doing very little. The worms won't do as good of a job as they will in a proper bin, but the will work it some and solve your spring tail problem. The trick is to stick your hand down into the compost bag to monitor the moisture level. Go all the way down to your armpit and give her a feel top to bottom. Mix things up if there are definite dry and wet zones. It won't hurt the worms. You want moist not wet, or the bag will become anaerobic. Extra water should be added by a spray bottle or mister, a very small amount at a time.

Figured since I was on I’d do an update of my lights out pic from these babies too! Def coming along nicely! I think gold glue is as short as it is now cuz of how wimpy the roots were when I had to transplant it but Toofless is a beast in comparison! Had to supercrop 4 tops since light height was maxed out and tops were like 9-10” too close to it!

Moving along well with gold glue entering home stretch! Just gotta let it finish last bit of filling out and then plumping up so hopefully be like 14-21 days with Toofless having more sites and having been abused by tying her over and snapping tops over she’ll be running lil behind goldy! Def loving these earthboxes and I’m thinking having killer roots when I transplant would help these fill in out fill out and all around grow faster! That’s my theory any ways! :smoking:
I did have to order a 1/2 gallon of these ez swap pots for a 1/2 gal growoff so got some starter pots to try out! Made sure I didn’t go crazy watering like with rootmakers 1st time and just bottom fed lil water and then using spray bottle on top!

Rocbudinc purple roc berry there to replace Rocit fuel I accidentally killed! :smokeit:

Well since I got some new pics last night when I had to empty and slip dehumidifier back into the tent! Figured since can actually see the diff since last update it was the time! Super impressed both with these mephisto tester ladies but MAN THESE EARTHBOX JUNIORS ROCK!!! :headbang: Gold glue def getting closer and is in the home stretch but toofless alien is such a huge bush with so many bud sites it’s got a lil ways to go! I did put a dinafem girl into the dark so had lil more room in the 4x4 so toofless now gets a 250w light to herself!

Thinking the underdeveloped roots caused goldy to stay way shorter than she otherwise woulda been but at least those earthbox and worms doing their parts to make sure she doesn’t skimp on the bud sizes! Toofless tho man that thing is a wild bush and she is not gonna disappoint on her harvest! :yay: And her roots even tho they were skimpy going into the box they def exploded now! Just like I remember seeing with @MrOldBoy ladies them roots coming right up out the surface of the soil end to end in their! Sitting right in that oly compost/build a flower combo getting her eat on! Stay tuned for her in full out flower cuz I think I’ll need a gang of plant yo-yos to hold them branches up! Guess that’s not a bad problem to have tho!
:pass: qqq my peeps n keep em lit

moving right along! i get those yellow leaf tips too. havent figured out the culprit.. not an issue, just curious.. looks like youre gonna be swimming in buds dude.. good job !

Thanks buddy! I’m sure glad I switched to these earthbox to run in! After filling box it took 1 or 2 topdressing of Oly compost and a final topdress of build a flower and no issues! Same soil same everything but my 2 in pots got N def but the worms in boxes it seems between castings left behind and eating up and breaking down that compost made all nutrients from soil available to the girls and they responded great! Got fresh rocbudinc order in today so starting a fresh lady for the big earthbox now!

Well back for another update on my mephisto ladies! Since not sure u received any of my other comments @stan_mephisto THANKS FOR INCLUDING ME TO TEST RUN THESE! :d5: Moving along well and although toofless alien is a bushy beast with time left to finish gold glue will be chopped Fri/Sat! Still deciding if I wanna chop tops and let lowers little bit longer! Either way she’s looking perty and smelling super dank! Smells really citrusy with a funk behind it! Gonna be good stuff!

I’ll be back with an update here in next few days when I take the axe to either all or just tops of gold glue! Possible by chop time tho that the lowers won’t need to go any longer! Have to see then!:pop:
:pass: qqq til then and keep em lit

toofless alien 50+ inches??? holy cow..thats gonna be a hawg...i would give it an extra topdress maybe since its so big and in a junior.. it probably wont be deficient if you dont, but it might add a few grams
ive finished my last run of the season...re-used soil amended with craft blend and baf,,so easy and turned out pretty good..
just 2 autoblues x sour bubbly in my 4x4.. drying and almost ready to start cure.. cool looking bluish/green colors, easy grow.. chunky ass buds..ive documented the whole grow this time.. pretty cool..ive got pics if youre interested in running this strain..its very unique. highly recommended..
Maybe @stan_mephisto will make this one available again or has some testers you can run? Sure wish i hadnt lost the first two to compost mites!
