Yup. That's the idea. A way of signalling fall and coming winter.
There are also some interesting studies on difference between air and root temps.
I think Clarke's Marijuana Botany has some stuff on this.
Can't for the life of me remember the details.
Have read it elsewhere, too.
And also difference between day and night temps.
Could you chill your reservoir? Drop in a cold pack in the evening?
With the "GroDan Precision Watering method" it only waters about 3 oz. per plant at a time through drippers. I don't know how much of an effect that would cause. I will certainly play around with this idea the next time I grow some strains with color.

Let's continue this, straight water from ice cubes for the industrial for a week.

I read about this somewhere, can't remember where, but I think it was hydro. I wondered if it was just an urban myth, so I am curious to see if it works!

I'm trying. Prob is, ambient air temps are around 30C here now. Low of maybe 25 at night.
So even ice is ... barely going to bring it down very far.... :p

Can't keep away from these ladies in the garden.
Day 72 random pic update, of Industrial CBD auto and Jackpot auto.
Fat chunky ones are Industrial, longer green ones the Jackpot.

Industrial is still putting out more white pistils.
And is still bulking. Impressive.

Thanks @trailanimal , @Need4Weed and @VitaMan !
I'm looking at the Industrial all the time -- when to harvest? when to harvest?
Almost all her calyxes are now quite big and chunky,
but she's still got quite a lot of white pistils.
She's leaning over to the side...
15" plant struggling under her own weight, haha.
@Dinafem-Mark said.......harvest CBD before amber........or something like that. I harvested mine early last season and had zero complaints!, except I want more!
