I've been working on this stuff here locally for a good 2 years or so.
It is surprising how hard it is to do it locally.
Also, I have issues with moving around a lot,
and getting BF's okay on things, it's his house.

But don't worry, it's happening, slowly but surely.....

Last night, since it was day 28 = end of week 4, started the 12/12 cycle for the photo plants.
Now... because I don't have a light-sealed tent, this was always going to be a challenge.

The idea was, at 10pm to move the photo plants into another room, that is dark,
and then at 10am to put them back under the lights. Sounds like it might work.
But... light sealing on the other "dark" room is not as good as I thought, nor is there much air circulation.
I'm going to have to do some work to make the dark space more secure.
Let alone the issue of making sure that I move the plants at 10pm and 10am every day...
You'd think doing it at 6pm and 6am with natural light would make more sense,
but it's been a long time since my BF or I got up at 6am, haha!

I told my BF that if the don't flower (meaning show some pistils) in a week or two,
then we'll need to find some other way.
I'm thinking plant them outside, but he's really not into that idea much at all...

Or, making more of a proper, light sealable space, like a tent or cabinet.
But, he's not much into that idea either......

Am slowly educating him on the art of ganja growing............
managing the photos kinda like milking a cow, gotta be regular and on time

Power is being shut off this afternoon, and I have to go out.
So will prob set the girls up near a window for some ambient light for the rest of the day.

The Industrial may be showing a tiny bit of clawing after the recent nute feeds, perhaps.

Think I should give them a good soaking soon.
I was reading up on CBD strains and learned a lot of them are derived from Resin Seeds Cannatonic.
So, went to check out their site. Very nice. Has great growing advice for each strain.

Flooding: water from the bottom. During this first week of 12 hours of light it is suggested to use small amounts of water for flooding. Ideally you should flood once every 2 days, this also avoids plant stretching.

The "avoids plant stretching" is an interesting point.
Wonder if anyone else has tried this out or has any ideas??

I think my soil mix is heavy. I don't mean hot, just literally heavy.
So when I pick up the pots, they feel heavy, and I don't water them.
Have not watered them much at all.
And when I have, just a tiny amount of run off.
So, time for a good soaking, I think.
the IPCBDs i grew where sensitive to N, my best turned very dark g, but did real good

Maria, head on, again, into the not so easy growing situations, and doing good, I can't imagine doing it under such restrictions, Micro Madness indeed. Your plants have responded well, to you, and look good. Sweet Skunks for me have been absolute resin monsters, every time, and fast. Got lots of these seeds stashed, she is my go to fall back when something else isn't happening, you know how time constrained my grows are. This sums up your efforts for me:bow:

These are great pics. The macro is working great. Of course it helps if you have a steady hand :)

The macros will allow you to see more of the details. I take the close ups as the pics show me things I can not see with the naked eye. These pics are GREAT.

Hey @Nosias! Thanks. Yeah, this app works far, far better than the standard camera app.
My standard camera app really has problems focusing on anything up close.
This one does it really quickly, and has some good settings I'll play with.
As for up close, I have a jewelers loupe that I can use. A bit old, but it works.
Gonna try for some more nice macros, and aim for some photo comps, haha!

finally found your, not so new thread, Maria, even had to get new password to do it. geeze and whew!

Haha! Hey there my Alaskan big brother!
Yeah, I moved to the Micro Forum, to learn how to do micro grows.
Hate it when you have to do the new password thing to log in.
Which is me much of the time with Microsoft anything… :p

You grew up in dairy country, too, huh?
At least I don’t have to get these ladies out of bed at 4:30 AM ….
Oh, yeah, like milking, it’s also all about the ladies…

Mine have been fine ever since. Just the first time with the synthetics they reacted a bit.
Now I’ve gone up from about 400 PPM to already at 1100 PPM. They’re all handling it well.
My Industrial (and the Honey and Skunk) are all very dark green.
The Industrial has a flat top kind of bud to her, can see the NL influence I think.
The Skunk is the opposite, very pointed top.

Thank you!!! This first Micro grow has been a challenge, but it’s going very well I think.

My goal was to pull at least 2 oz ~ 60 g. I’ve been counting the colas and guessing weights, haha.

I’m really loving the speed and crystals on the Sweet Skunk. I probably shouldn’t have topped her though. Just four tiny little tops. But the skunk funk is starting. My BF just started to notice elsewhere in the house last night. The Skunk, Jackpots and Strawberry Cake are my only straight THC strains. So the Skunk is going to be first down, and first to taste. Can’t wait!

Was doing some reading of her parentage. According to SeedFinder, it’s from Sensi’s Early Skunk. Ages ago I did Silver Pearl indoors, which also has Early Skunk in it, I think. That was also very, very fast, and super silver sticky. Was ready at 7 weeks of 12/12, no problem. Faster than the NL. So feels like my Industrial and Skunk are kind of like my old NL and Silver Pearl, but autos.

I’m rambling. Time for my first cuppa Joe, with some “special sauce”, to start the day!!!
Take care up in the freezing north, brother.
Love and hugs,

MJS
