We have the first pistils on one of the photo girls --
Strawberry Cake has reach puberty!

Very glad to see that my makeshift night cycle method is working.
At least, working for one of the plants.

Meanwhile, the Sweet Pure and Charlotte's Angel are getting a bit tall...
Hope they move into pre-flower and flower very soon....

Have the first tiny pistils on the single stemmed Sweet Seeds Sweet Pure CBD photo girl.
The DP Charlotte's Angel still no sign of pre-flower, and her lowest leaves were pulled after some yellowing.
The Heavyweight Strawberry Cake photo girl is now very quickly changing into pre-flower growth.

All moving along nicely. Though, very little stretch on the photo girls at all.
I wonder if it's a sign that the small pots are full of roots already?
Or some function of this COB and CFL together....?

Nice maria!! Looking good!! Hope everything is going great for you!!

Thanks, Don Skelly! Going pretty good.
The Sweet Skunk auto is a fast one, for sure!
Just hope the calyxes swell real big, because just four little buds, haha.

At this point in the flowering, when lots of fresh pistils are appearing, do I need more P or more K?
I know it's time to move away from the heavy N, but not sure about the differences between P and K.
I was hoping for more stretch, at least a few inches, but almost none at all.

Thinking about a minor defoliation too.
Just a couple of leaves on the inside of the LSTed laterals blocking flower sites.

I like to introduce PK in the early stages of flower, and work up up stronger by week 3-4 of flower.

Okay, cool. That's prob about now or the next week or two for most of the autos.
But another couple of weeks for the photos (if the Angel gets around to flowering at all...).
I originally wanted to do all organic, but gave in to using those hydro nutes in the end.
Synthetics still the best for immediate availability to the plants.
And I think that the nice organic soil and amendments have kept the soil pH and stuff nice and stable.
But... because have nutes in the soil, don't want to go too high.
I've worked it up to around 800 ppm for the synthetics already.
They were fine with it. The two Jackpots got a bit weird for a few days, but they're good again now.
Shall I increase it up to ... 1000 ppm maybe next few days? Then ... 1200 ppm after that for a week or two?
What do you think? How high do you go? 1600? 2000?

Just did a small feeding with 900 ppm.
Used about 1/3 the 15-5-15 CaMg and 2/3 5-11-26.
Ratio approx 7-9-22. Hmmm... not enough P.
Have pre-mixed the next feed with straight 5-11-26, at 1100 ppm.
Will feed them prob in about 2-3 days.

Trimmed off a couple of leaves, very little.
I don't like the idea of big defoliation.
Leaves are the photosynthesis machines.
To maximize light, need to keep a full green canopy, no holes.

In 20+ years i have never used PPM...i run nutes by instinct and NPK, and then watching how the plants respond. Kind of a crazy way to do it....yeah i know!! LOL
