Last night, since it was day 28 = end of week 4, started the 12/12 cycle for the photo plants.
Now... because I don't have a light-sealed tent, this was always going to be a challenge.

The idea was, at 10pm to move the photo plants into another room, that is dark,
and then at 10am to put them back under the lights. Sounds like it might work.
But... light sealing on the other "dark" room is not as good as I thought, nor is there much air circulation.
I'm going to have to do some work to make the dark space more secure.
Let alone the issue of making sure that I move the plants at 10pm and 10am every day...
You'd think doing it at 6pm and 6am with natural light would make more sense,
but it's been a long time since my BF or I got up at 6am, haha!

I told my BF that if the don't flower (meaning show some pistils) in a week or two,
then we'll need to find some other way.
I'm thinking plant them outside, but he's really not into that idea much at all...

Or, making more of a proper, light sealable space, like a tent or cabinet.
But, he's not much into that idea either......

Am slowly educating him on the art of ganja growing............

I do the same....i watch very closely early and make a note in my journal when i first spot preflower(first signs of sex).

Yeah. Particularly when young, I spend a lot of time looking at the apex tip.
Can learn a lot about the state of the plant from that point of new growth.
Right now, looking both for signs of pistils, but also response from feeding.

We do have a separate bathroom area that we don't use at all.
The only reason haven't used it as a grow space, is that no curtains on windows,
so the light comes in, though windows are frosted.
But it's otherwise pretty good.
Just put a large tray on the toilet seat top, add the lights and fan, and its usable.
Exactly how my first indoor grow room was set up, actually.
Can maybe squeeze out nearly 1 m2 of space. Hmmmmm........

I wake up at 6am every day just to spend 30 minutes staring at them and move them out for sunlight, clean area if necessary. Been doing so every day but they are getting heavier and big, especially after watering. Its a good workout actually. The morning air is good for ya..

Just did some LST work on them.
Really the first time I've done proper LST.
In the past, have "tied down" a lot of indoor sativas and sativa hybrids.
But that was waiting until they were out of control, haha.

Photos in a bit.
Should have done before and after.
But I want two photos to show how the tops will start to bend up.

In the past, I used to top plants at times.
The taller ones I'd top to keep the canopy more level.
Though I tend to put tall plants around the edges, and shorter ones in the center.

A lot of people say top once and get four main tops.
But I really found that it would be top once get two main tops,
but a couple of big branches under that. But not four tops.

But I think I can already see that most of these will have four tops, after LST work.

I'm high, and rambling... pics soon.

Day 30 -- LST time!

Did some basic LST work on them, here are the photos.

I did all the plants, except the Sweet Pure CBD because she's a single stem girl,
and the Charlotte's Angel, because she has a wide open form, already good.
For the topped plants, I tied and pulled down the top two new colas,
and for the un-topped (Jackpot) I just tied and pulled the taller plant to the side a little.

I used the method of tying to the leaf, rather than the stem, learned from @Savage Garden .
Just fairly gentle for now, no broken or split stems.
I can tighten and LST further whenever I need, maybe a day or two.

I think this is going to work best on the Industrial and Honey Peach,
as their top two branches are now putting out nice tertiary branches already.
Should be able to get a good four branch + shape of the plant from above.
And for all the topped plants, get the lower branches up as high as the top two.

Enough talk, photos.
When just done:

After a couple of hours, plant positions have changed:

From left to right: 1. Jackpots (mid); 2. Sweet Pure (front); 3. Industrial (back); 4. Strawberry Cake (mid); 5. Honey Peach (back); 6. Charlotte's Angel (front); 7. Sweet Skunk (mid).

Yeah, I know, should have gotten photos of each LSTed plant.
But, I didn't.......

Love and hugs,
