Can they roots outgrow the bucket... not really. it will get root bound. But you will be adding water about 5 times a day about a gallon at a time and you will need to watch your airstone like crazy. That (being unable to lift the plant and the pure rootmass) is where I had my failure with this beast happened because the airstone failed without my knowledgeRandom hydro question.....
Can the roots outgrow the bucket?
If i remember to get help later ill get a pic, the rootmass on this thing is awesome. Its easily the best, most developed roots ive had yet.
If i grow magic out all the way ill be even more happy, but i freakin luv hydro!
My airstone never became entangled or anything but it just got gunked up for some reason and it died. If I were to re do it. I'd have a second pump, airline and 2 sets of airstones set aside to be ready to be put in place to support the airstone in there now and be ready to drill a new hole to inset the air stone line in case you need more oxygen. The max o2 theory which DWC follows basically means the more oxygen the roots get the better the plant grows and when the plant has a res full of root mass you need the air moving but the solution must be moving too but with so much root mass at the end stage it starts almost becoming a pseudoaeroponics medium if done right.
Basically lots of top ups, check your ph often and check your air stone too and get to know her well. She will tell you what she needs. Sometime she wants a bit of TLC. I started playing Beethoven and my plants love it. I havent done that since the sour crack and part of the sour crinkle grow and I think thats what was missing the whole time. I believe in the power of Beethoven for my own meditation so I started playing it for the plants again too
