You're looking pretty good, and I did talk to you about this earlier. make sure you check your ph more often like just stick it in once a day to just check and be sure it's ok. And as I said, you need a bit more cal mag. I do about 25ml cal mag per 5 gallons (5ml per gallon) i know i go overboard. And again, i know we discussed this elsewhere. But for the sake of completeness on this thread. I say the calmag needs to be upped to full strength now at least 2ml a gallon because shes getting into flower shes gonna be using lots of calmag. You really might need to ramp up the cal mag fast on her. I found that one out before on a few grows. Calmag is a major difference between success and failure during this period of growth and can cause the plant to fail to thrive during flower because the leaves growing now cant pull the light it needs and photosynthesize. The leaves look like they are beginning to yellow between the veins ever so slightly which is my suspicion of magnesium deficiency. And since its hydro it has to be fixed as soon as its seen as the plant has pulled out all the calmag. I always top up with 5ml per gallon of calmag and in the end I may go through a bit extra calmag but it keeps them happy and i get good results.

You're doing great. Keep it up. If all i see is that you need to get some calmag in before a problem happens then you're doing AMAZING!!!
You're smashing it

Ive added a touch more to the bucket, and ill probs add some epsom here in a day or two if its still lookin like it needs it.
Thanks for keepin an eye on my hydro baby, this is the best part of afn and hott! Extra eyes and ears to talk thru issues and ask and answer many many questions!

Oh also, how i mix my solution is I add the water to the bucket, then I put the bubbler back in and get it aerating again mix my solution together part by part. If its granular I take some water and warm it to about 110 f and make it liquid and add it in round the res and let it bubble through to mix and repeat as necessary with different nutrients. If it's a powder I let the powder dissolve as I sprinkle it in. If it's a liquid I add slowly. Then I let it all bubble for 5 minutes. then I keep the bubbles going and check the ph and then ph the solution. After than I put the plant back in the bucket. I check 15 minute later then another 15 (t+0:30) then at 1 hr mark then for the next 12 hours then 12 hours then regularly and top the res. You're going to want to do that because of the slightly yellowing so you make sure you're getting all the nutrients to uptake in that 5.8-6.2 range.
I know I'm late again to the game but figured it's also more info I passed on to you before but helps to put it in one thread versus multiple sites and chats that will be archived hundreds of thousands of pages back in history eventually.
Some of the yellowing could be from the ph being adjusted only once a month and not checking the ph adjusting as an plant gives off metabolic byproducts in its roots and can cause ph changes and sometimes those byproducts can be toxic. Hence res changes at times
Make sure to check the ph and get yourself some liquid calmag for easier use when you can.
This is just some of my experience. Plus itll be good for me to have archived when I forget it :D
Keep it up.

I did check ph today as i have added bud explosion to the mix.
The old rez started at 5.9 and was 6.3 after 5 weeks of topoffs so i feel confident my ph is good
The fresh rez is sittin pretty at 5.9.
Ill probs not check again unless i do another rez change or issues arise.
I do hope the extra calmag works, and if not next step will be to add some epsom into the mix, maybe boost just the mag.
We shall see! Im feeling confident again, the hydro baby is on track!

I would just check your ph if it dosent get better and just every once in a while like temperatures. But you are looking good. I think you got this down well!
:pighug:

Wassup peeps.
So today was a big day.
I decided to do a rez change. I think worst case scenario it doesnt affect the grow and i now have done it at least once.
I did check ph a couple times today.
Checked the old rez ph and it was 6.3, up from 5.9 5 weeks ago, so its staying steady with the daily topoffs.
I phed the new feed to 5.9, and added the 2nd rd of bud explosion. I will check ph the next few feeds as i get used to it with the b.e., and then ill stop again.
I am addressing what appears to be a mag, or calmag issue by upping the calmag im adding. If that doesnt do the trick ill be adding epsom into the mix.
Other than that all is well. Shes building those budlets and bushing out.
She has started to grow out of the canopy so ill have to adjust again tomorrow but that should be easy peasy in and out.
Thanks to the hottchat crew and @MissUniverse for the listening ears and helpful advice!

Heya buddy as you know I'm only an outdoor dirt worshiping fool but I think your onto something the spotting looks like a cal issue to me :d5: could be ph or lack of cal ....refer to above statement .....aside from that she's looking great mate keep it up

Week 7 check in on magic hydro baby.

Shes had a big week.
Lights are 28" above the canopy, i am actually on a 19/5 schedule. Had to check my timers again, i had forgotten lol.
Temps and rh spot on.
I went ahead and did a rez change so ive got one under my belt. Twas easy peasy, the plants started flowering pretty well so this was a great time to do one.
I did up 5 gallons of feed, water had been bubbled for 48 hours.
I am now using bud explosion so i went ahead and got a baseline ph, ill check ph a couple more times this week and then ill put the meter down.
Feed and new rez is as follows, amounts listed are per gallon....
1.5g megacrop, 1g sweet candy, .75g bud explosion, 2.5ml calmag, ph down 5 drops, ph setting at 5.9.
I am also watching a potential calmag issue, and its already started clearing up after i increased the calmag.
I have Epsom on hand as well, i feel like the issue is more mag related so ill toss that into the bucket for a quick boost if necessary.
I will slowly be adding mc to the feed as the plant is a bit lighter than i like, tho id rather it be too light versus that weird dark, dark green from the N.
Anywho, shes still alive and kickin!

Random hydro question.....
Can the roots outgrow the bucket?
If i remember to get help later ill get a pic, the rootmass on this thing is awesome. Its easily the best, most developed roots ive had yet.
If i grow magic out all the way ill be even more happy, but i freakin luv hydro!

THIS IS ONLY LIKE THE 20th thread that I have read and am in awww of DWC. I just have to simple of a mind to understand it lmao. BRO THIS THING LOOKS LIKE A TANK! subbed up to watch these flowers swell!:pop:
