Hello all,
First of all i want to thank the people on this forum for trying to get me started on the right foot been reading for months now i got everything up its like taking a test back in school i went blank lol so I'm going to start this journal so my fellow farmers can shoot me advise and i can always look back on this so here we go !!!!

Seeds
. 5x Dinafem Roadrunners
. 3x Dinafem White Widow
. 3x Dinafen Cheese
Of course there autos and fem

Soil
. FFOF
. Happy Frog
Was planning on going 50/50 with it

Pots
. 4x Geo pots
Wanting to start with 4 if everything goes good I'll put another 2 alsol wanted to put them stright in the soil just seems most easiest

Light & Hood
. 600 watt hps with air cooled hood
This was a handy me down very grateful he also he threw in a Lumatek ballast too the hood has the vent holes in the front and back totally opposite to all the ones i seen but hopefully I can make it work I'll post some pics tomorrow

Fan
. 4 inch inline ( Hurricane )

4x4 Hydro Farm Lighthouse tent
Will be getting my filter and some kind of nutes next pay day still undecided still on nutes so many to pick from

So put the tent up , hung the lamp and put fan up with ducting so so right now i have hood -> Fan -> exhaust out through a vent in the garage when I get the filter I was planning on filter-> hood-> fan-> exhaust out is this correct ? so when i fired up everything together it came on ok but the walls of the tent were getting sucked in I dont think this is normal

Oh yea also have a blue lab PH pen

So thats it for now would like to be in the dirt this weekend what you guys think
is it possible just did a dry run for about a hhr temps got to 86f and the humidity was 47% not good already LOL

Do you have a fresh air intake opening? That could be why your tent walls are being sucked in if you don't have some fresh outside air coming in.

That happend to me i didnt have enougth air being pulled in so therfore my tent sides sucked in. I made sure the intake area was bigger problem solved :peace: Si

My tent, always has the sides sucked in. It is really a good thing, as it shows that no smells will escape, without being pulled through the carbon filter first. So I see no problems.
I recommend Fox Farm Trio nutes. That is what I use, and have been getting great results. I would use the Happy Frog straight, as the Ocean Forrest is sometimes too hot for autos.

I have a a flap on the side that i had open but thats all so it should be ok then what about the configuration with the fan is that ok

Your setup looks pretty good. I wouldn't worry about the sides of the tent being sucked in a little. Just shows you have negative pressure in the tent, which is what you want. It will keep the smell from escaping. If you have the ballast in the tent I would suggest you move it out. They can give off a bit of heat and moving it outside the tent will help keep the heat down.

Regarding your seeds, I would suggest you soak them till they crack open, then plant 1/2" deep in the soil and cover with some fine peat moss. They should germinate better that way than just putting them directly into the soil.

Alright kool Good to hear was worried about that I have the ballast outside the tent on a shelf been on for an hr we are at 81f with the glass on still high right dont have the osculating fan in yet will that help any
I'm going to calibrate the ph pen to see where my tap water is at also i have a fridge with filtered water so gonna check that .when soaking the seeds do you mean the paper towel method or the glass method. One more thing for now can i put the soil in the pots now or should wait until i soak the seeds . I really want to say thank you for walking me through this much appreciated

81 is fine. That's only a degree or two over the optimum and well within the good range. As long as you stay below 85 you should be fine. Yes, I was referring to soaking them in a glass. Some people swear by paper towels but I prefer just to soak in a glass, then right into the soil. I would put the soil in the pots and water it about a day before the seeds are ready to plant. That way it will have a chance to drain a bit so it's damp and not overly wet.

Setup looks good.

Got it :jump:
So when i water the soil with reg water or do I have to have to water with PH'd from now on also is there water i can buy thats ph'd because my water was out of range like 7.2 soaked my seeds last night got home from work and they sunken and i see little white things coming out :dance2:
