Tip for removing the smell from sticky fingers, didn't work 100% but i got through today at work without any "man you stink of skunk" comments I used swarfega first with a nailbrush directly on the skin but this just removed the stickyness, not the smell really. So, get some baking soda and citric acid, (ingredients for making bath bombs) a cup of each and a few drops of tea tree essential oil and drop the lot into a bowl of as hot water as your hands can take, get the brush under the water and scrub at your fingers under the water. Took the smell off in a couple of minutes and also left my hands smelling like... dunno yet but like some familiar sterile environment anyway!

Perfect! Thanks riz i'll give it a try :D

It'll be fun to pick an individual calyx off and put it in your one hitter lol

Had to come back to your pictures again. You've really got a good thing going on here riz. Defiantly one of the best i've seen on here. Got to give those air pot a whirl mate

 :D

the only thing missing from that picture is david attenborough examining the wildlife thats living deep inside that forest ;) spot on mate

heh heh I do a pretty good Attenborough impersonation when I am in there giving my girls some love, not doing anything scientific though! Even tiger woods wouldn't be allowed to walk on my green :p

Looking forward to the smoke off that sativa, i do expect the calyxes to shrink quite a bit as they are huge at the moment, almost the size of a peanut, can you imagine the size of the seeds if i had pollinated that?

After that sativa was cut down it's left me with 5 plants, 4 good thick chunky ones and a wee chunky 12 incher, i want 2 oz at least off each of the 4 and prolly 3/4 oz of the wee one. gonna start chopping friday night so i'll post up some of the before and after pics, major yellowing going on at the moment, autumn in January is so beautiful when you know whats coming next.

Main reason i did this grow was because i was impressed with price of the seeds i was getting at justfeminized.com and had posted a review in here and a couple of people had said they had problems with the seeds, no grows to show to back it up though. So thought i'd put my money where my mouth was, if i'm gonna recommend a company, i would only do it for one that i've seriously liked. Not all the seeds are perfect, a little variance when growing in numbers but pretty stable, not one hermie in the feminisation, germination rates in the 90%+ mark and plants capable of 2 ounces each.

At less than £100 for next day delivery on 25 femmed beans, it can't be beat online.

If yer gonna go for airpots, ye gotta be careful at the beginning as you get used to how they dry out for you. but if you can get it tuned in then they are way better than normal pots. If you normally top water i'd advise you to look at the design of the pots, some have the 1st two rows of indentations blocked. The shops build them with the bases at that part, do the opposite so that when you top water the water doesn't just run out the holes at the top, you will be able to pour in a decent amount of water on top and allow it to seep down, if ye do it the way the shops do then you lose most of your water out the holes. If yours come with holes all over, then put a piece of tape round the pot's top inch or so.

I see the guy at my hydro store has them stacked un-assembled in a coffee cup fashion, and puts them together with cable ties.. Is this the same where you get your's riz? It's just i'm wondering if it would be possible to just order the polymer from a manufacturer, cut them to size and put them together ourselves - would be handy for large scale production, and cheaper too probably..

i get them from greens in bristol, 5.99 delivery and come in packs of 10 for 27.99 if ordering online 29.99 at the shop, but the compost is plant magic and thats 3 quid cheaper at the shop so i usually pick up directly, they keep up at the top of their racking in packs of about 50 stacked on top of each other tied in industrial banding bases are kept in a box, he climbs up and drops em down to me, then has to go hunting for the screws are they are usually put somewhere safe after the last sale by someone who isn't there at the time, gets quite funny watching them hunt :D your guys has prolly lost his and thats why he uses cable ties, i hadn't thought if cable ties, i just asked for some spares and greens let me have a few, prolly coz i had a wait while they tried to find em.

I had a think about how they were made and it could be duplicated with a heat gun and some mould or nozzle to press the plastic. surely theres a dremel attachment.

This is what i was thinking too riz.. Maybe we should each have crack at making one - looking at the depth of the perforations on them and knowing the polymer it-self is quite tough, it might be a challenge to make the mold yourself but if we can locate a plastics/resin manufacturer online like a wholesaler for engineering or something.. We could buy the stuff in bulk and even begin supplying the hydro stores with them! Haha Okay that's going a bit far but yea it's worth some thought i recon.. especially if we're going into high plant numbers. We would need a bottom panel though but still that's not going to be difficult to work out would it?
