Cheers Trifid airpots are just sexy! I gotta admit i am a lazy grower mate. For most of this grow the girls get visited once per day, sometimes only once every 2 or 3 days if i know i am good for watering. When i do go up to the loft i am there for as long as it takes to smoke a 3 skinner which is usually as long as it takes to feed, water and rotate. About 20 minutes tops. I used to sit for hours in the tent when i first started but she get jealous so i've cut it down
What takes me so long to get up there is that to get up there i have to roll her a joint if i wanna take one with me and by the time i've rolled the first she's distracted me and got it sparked up.
I coulda got more out of this grow if i had invested in a heater to keep lights off temps higher or switched back to 24/0 sooner. I reckon i've still to see the full potential of these ak47's in Airpots so i am kinda duplicating this grow under 24/0 from the start. Only difference is the new 10 ak's have gone into their airpots under 2x125w CFL's in another tent to sprout and will be put under the 600HPS prolly after harvest time this weekend.
Couldn't finish trimming the sativa last night, only got half way through before going to bed so finished after work tonight. 3 hours to trim one plant but i was pleasently surprised when i dropped her on the scales. 280 grams wet. should dry to about 2 ounces. I removed most stem and branch and just left each bud on it's own stringy bit of stick and paper bagged, not even gonna try and hang em. I am tempted to do a honey oil run on just the trim from this as i cut off tons of little 3 leaf clusters that were covered in crystals from end to end.
Tip for removing the smell from sticky fingers, didn't work 100% but i got through today at work without any "man you stink of skunk" comments
I used swarfega first with a nailbrush directly on the skin but this just removed the stickyness, not the smell really. So, get some baking soda and citric acid, (ingredients for making bath bombs) a cup of each and a few drops of tea tree essential oil and drop the lot into a bowl of as hot water as your hands can take, get the brush under the water and scrub at your fingers under the water. Took the smell off in a couple of minutes and also left my hands smelling like... dunno yet but like some familiar sterile environment anyway!
