I haven't heard about it, but it sounds like my kind of town.

Just killed a big old snail coming from it's hiding place near my two balcony plants and feel quite happy about it

Yup.........you haven't Lived until you have seen the debauchery on a night time in Benidorm.
Saying that..I Love the Benidorm promenade.
If you can find a seat..you can sit for a couple of hours and the whole World passes you by.
