Those look good!There is NOTHING like fresh buttered pretzels straight out the heater.
-1 pack active dry or instant yeast
-1c water @ 110°F
-3/4t sugar
-3/4T oil
Combine all
Let sit for 10m
While you're waiting:
-3c Flour
-1t kosher salt
Place in large mixing bowl, stir salt in and form a hole in the center
Add yeast mixture into hole and combine...kneed for 5m or so
Oil a clean bowl with a teaspoon of veggie oil and place in a warm area for aprox 1.5h or until doubled
Punch it down and place back for 45m or so until it doubles again
Divide into 8
Boil 6c water with 3T soda
Roll out into sticks or whatever you want. Put them in the soda water for about 1m20s or so. Real quick.
Place on rack and let dry
Place on parchment lined big cookie sheet
Brush 1 egg scrambled w/ 1t water
Add Sea Salt
Bake @ 440° for about 18-20m or until golden lovely
