Thanks for the rep @Lil Dab, coming from you, it means something.

It would have been a hell of a lot easier if Ford installed rack mount nuts in their roof track like the Tacoma did, but hey, the design kept me entertained when I should have been sleeping. I lost track of the number of alternative clamp arrangements I had banging around in my head, but this one worked out ok. When it is snugged down, I can't budge the rack a millimeter no matter how hard I yard on it. I actually had the stainless plate I used for the grab hooks in my scrap pile, and it is perfect. Total cost about a hundred bucks, almost all of that the cost of a 20 foot piece of aluminum tubing. We won't talk about the hours of "entertainment". :pighug:

I'll add this to the list of gear I want .....

But most definitely do not need.
:crying:
Back in the 70's, we bought a new Black Flag sprayer ( so that it never had chemicals in it...lol ). We attached a big bowl form a brass waterpipe to the air intake. Now this was long before anyone had heard of a hotbox. We'd get people to voluteer to sit in a closet and we'd pump it full of weed smoke! OMG it was hilarious!

It’s true….ol Duder didn’t want to get outta bed for his walk this morning

….and Duckie didn’t even make it all the way onto the bed
He was waiting on his plate of ribs! ;) :eyebrows::rofl:

In keeping with my diy addiction, here is my alternative to about $2000 worth of weaker Thule stuff:

I wanted one rack on the cab and one on the box to get enough distance to handle a canoe without using a bow tie. Reasonably messy MIG beads, but they are strong. The end caps have not been welded to the rear rack yet, and I will add a gusset to the base of the rear rack to strengthen the joint at the bottom of the post., Other than that, done and dusted, time to start the winter grow. As soon as certain seeds arrive. :pighug:
Nothing better than DIY!

Got off my ass and worked on the nursery tent a bit.

The 3 stone dragons are in a 5 gallon bucket with a lid with 4 holes in it. I have one more coming up from seed. They aren't feminized, so in about 6 weeks I'll be trimming out the males. Odds are I'll end up with 2 females (but you know how that goes). One will stay in the 5 gallon bucket and one will get moved to a smaller container and will be the one I reverse with STS spray. I have a couple of 1 gallon buckets that my pelletized chlorine comes in for my hot tub.

My plants in the other tent are both at 94 days and the leaves on them are starting to brown out so I think it might be getting close to harvest time. Once that happens the Northern Light and Zkittelz will move to that tent, and the Orange Diesel and the Cherry Alien I just started will go in this tent, lol.

I'm having too damn much fun with this.

Welcome OF that looked mint I really liked the cab mounts they looked very intricate. I can only imagine the hours involved lot of people don’t realize what goes into something as small as that till they get the bill. We turn down stuff like a lot of the time cause of the cost most folks get sticker shock

Edit: little bit of paint and you won’t notice those welds :pighug:
