I've seen good soil grows with the autopots. If I had enough electricity to run another tent I'd definitely be using them with soil. A lot of the Europeans around here love the autopots with soil and biotabs and are growing beauties

The cost on the biotabs to ship here is what got me using the ferts which shall not be named

Check local garden supply places. The place around here that does soil tests also does water tests. They send it to a lab out of state and email results. Don't do the home Depot test kit, they'll just send a salesman to your house to sell you a water softener system Edit: or any college agriculture department can do it if you're anywhere near one

Im pretty sure UWM has a pretty big ag department I could try them out, I know Platteville does for sure but thats 5 hours from here lmao

This is the first conversation I could find of it on here but the couple of posts mentions the function of capillary action, absorption and salt deposits.

@blue got me on the auto pot bandwagon and mentioned having problems with salts build up with added nutes in the res. And I started getting some which led to trying a water only in the res style of growing.

Hey does anyone know of a lab that tests water. I wanna know what the mineral content of the spring water I get and there is a place online but they want me to have a membership to get access to that data...$50 a year and I dont think they regularly test it. Pretty sure it was only tested once

First off..look at your local aquifer substrate, which you should be able to find online.....then figure out a nominal mineral content from there....it will change with the seasons and rainfall and such.
here in Florida, being on a limestone aquifer, I know we always gonna be high in calcium... shout out to @Mañ'O'Green for pointing it out to me on my first grow...the calmag is still on the shelf...

I'm doing well. Spent most of my day down at the studio recording for another project of mine. Got the bones of another song recorded today, even though it's a pain in the ass to play because of how it flows from a death core type riff, to a heavy mid 90s alternative riffs and back. It's definitely different, but sounds good.

Different is always good, even if most don't like it, it'll catch the ear of those that are looking for different.
