I had a similar issue I thought and I told my dr so then they had me where a heart monitor for 24hr so they could see what it was doing. Do they not do something like that over there? I didn't have any issue they could see and this is around the same time we figured out I have a inactive thyroid

Sounds like atrial fibrillation. Would be worth getting him to emergency when it is going on to confirm this. If it is AT, it is not likely life threatening, but may need management. I am familiar with the issue.
