Oh! I've been soaking/stripping an area rug since last night (which I had powerwashed for *hours* in like June and then rolled up when it was dry and it's been standing in the corner ever sense) and I can't believe how much crap was still in it :face: the first tub full of water looked like coffee. Second was more like tea. Third wasn't *as bad* but it's still pulling murky water. Hoping another tub full or two will be enough for it to pull clear (or mostly clear at least). We're the 3rd owners and it's decades old, bought it from a lady last year at a yard sale who had had it under her dining room table for years after her mother had passed, and the mother had it for a long time before that. Wish I had a good before pic but didn't take one in June and didn't have space to lay it out last night lol.
Alright, WTF IS THAT?
The rug she was talking about :d5::pighug:

And like I said I had already powerwashed it for like 2 or 3 hours a few months ago, it's just been rolled up in the corner downstairs ever since cause I had planned on cleaning it again before putting it down since it still had a distinct wet dog/dog pee smell to it once it had dried.

There’s lotsa folks living “off grid” in this part of the state. Basically you use solar/wind for power….sewer is either septic/composting toilet, etc….and water is usually hauled in and stored in tanks. You can collect rain water to water crops with, etc….just not great to drink. This area of the state is good for it, since there’s cheap land, and there’s a process to opt out of any permitting process for a small fee. You can generally get land for between 500-4500 an acre….depending on where it’s at. The further off the beaten path, the cheaper. :pass:

Yup...similar here...... :pass: ...cess tanks and water tanks.....solar and generators...and bottlled gas.
Our whole town doesn't have mains gas....but systems are reliabe..coz most people depend on them.......

Would you be able to get the Internet......?......
