I have friends, a couple, she a still athletic 75 year old interested in all the same outdoor stuff as ever, he in his early 90's, and no longer interested or capable of any of it. Which was ok until recently because he was supportive about her being away from home once in a while doing what she enjoyed. That has now changed, and he does not want her to leave home, which has put a serious crimp on her life if she complies, or serious stress on him if she does not. She is complying, and hurting at the moment. It is not like she has a lot of years to enjoy herself out there, and it is stressful and painful to see her remaining time used up caring for an elderly mate. I don't envy her. It took me that last few years watching them to really understand this
potential consequence of mis-matched ages.
Whatever, It sounds like your hubby and you are doing well, so keep up the good work! If I am still building greenhouses when I am his age, I will be pleased.
