Gardening is a never ending joy and surprise. Sometimes its a struggle yet even then rewarding. This year, all my gardens have just exploded with growth and I can't put my finger on why! I'm certainly grateful for the looming bountiful harvests. But I'm always curios also. I did nothing special or different this year. Maybe it was all that horse manure I filled my beds with in 2017 and 2018. I put a couple of pickup truck loads in the 4 beds. Or maybe, it was the ashes. My dog died last year and I had him cremated. I sprinkled a little of the ashes in each bed then scattered the rest in his favorite spots around the yard. All I truly know is that I am thankful for the bounty in progress and thankful for the joy and love my dog gave to me.
