@Saltysparrows How did your tomatillo salsa turn out the other night? Looked like you were on the right path roasting everything off. Do you use a blender or molcajete? Wife was nice enough to get me a new molcajete for Christmas along with some different masas. Blue, red, yellow, and white. Masa is gluten free!!!!

Broke my old this summer when I knocked it off a table. Much prefer the consistency from the molcajete. Will roast stuff on the grill in summer and smoosh it up.

Oh and I use a food processor…although I was telling @Son of Hobbes that I’m in the market for another molcajete. I had one, but gave it to my son (who is a chef) when I moved to Nebraska.

Guess it depends on your environment/weather. Can see it both ways. Autos can be good in both winter and summer as opposed to photos.

In winter some use the light for heat as you can run 20+ hours. Conversely, I run autos in the summer as doing 12/12, the light intensity is higher and the lights put off too much heat. With the longer light period, I'm able to dial down the intensity of the light and the temps are a little cooler. I'm in a hot and humid climate though.

Think Man O Green takes a break during the summer as his temps are too high to do either

Great if you have dimmable lights

I've been shutting down for Jul Aug for that reason. Until I get an air conditioner.

Quite a few members seem to have gastrointestinal troubles.

I recently read research about CBG and intestinal trouble. I should dig it up and post it.
