Good morning and thanks for the reps, @Emerald Archer. I have one of those wrist-supported slingshots that shoots .38 caliber ball bearings. I've had to change the rubber a couple of times. I lost my 2nd amendment rights many years ago because of monkey bizness, so now home defense is just the slingshot and baseball bat. Realistically, my main defense is just being a good neighbor and not making enemies. If I ever needed the slingshot in a pinch, the rubber would probably be old, and would snap and take out me eyeball.
Order yourself a “Spetznaz shovel” from Amazon….. get the long handle one….. from a distance it looks like a small shovel, but it’s sharpened edge made it the most feared hand to hand weapon in WW1 trench warfare.

Plus, they’re cheap…

A friend of mine has a voltbike fat bike with a rear motor, and he wishes he went for a mid drive. He has burned out the rear motor twice. He is a strong rider, and rides hilly trails. The vulnerability of the rear drive is that it can't get an assist from a lower gear. If a heavier rider pushes on the uphills, the motor can be overloaded.

Anyway mate, if you have hilly trails in mind rather than road commute type use, you might want to consider a mid drive. The rear suspension is not really needed on a fat bike, the fork and softer tires make the ride decent even on trails. :pighug:
Yeah you can definitely cook some motors! If you're going to run one like that with hills and stuff I think it needs to be a minimum of a 1000 Watt Nominal motor, capable of handling higher spikes.
The only thing about a mid motor setup that I don't like is that you are completely stranded if you break a chain.

Where I'm at and my usage, I doubt if I will stress the bike much at all. There's not a lot of hills here and the off road will be only really around the lake. There's still plenty of gravel roads to explore but that's nothing.

With what I've seen in trying to find a bike, If I were younger, there's some pretty crazy things you can do with cellular electric bikes out there! And naturally, given my past, they would be hot rodded pretty quickly! :headbang:

Last I checked, Felons could own blackpowder guns, right?

You might be old enough to remember the Dukes of Hazard? They were always on probation or parole, so they had a crossbow. In my state, at least, anything that shoots a projectile is considered a "firearm" in the eyes of the law, so technically even a slingshot is illegal for me.

Attempt was made multiple times with it reworded and after it all i got 1 lone mongoose in 1 image and its a definite afterthought! :crying:

Headed over to a friend's house in a bit with some gifts...

The grapefruit isn't trimmed that great, oh well. Couple 1/4 ounce bags and about 20 seeds for her dad to start his new grow with. Giving him a few white label seeds I didn't want, some of my own crosses and then some crosses I've been gifted from others.

Born in the mid-80s, Dukes of Hazard is a bit before my time. But I'm aware, lol.
