Morning everyone.

Wasnt sure before but my Forbidden Jelly is starting to fox tail. Figured it would happen since the colas foxtailing are getting blasted with light, little over 1000ppfd so Im chalking it up to light stress, not concerned just hoping it doesnt start wildly foxtailing before shes ready to come down. Bunch of new pistils formed sinces yesterday but doesn't come thru well in pics

Most of those white pistils formed since yesterday. I just dont want it to be a pain in the ass to trim

Trying to help a friend of mine's dad who hasn't grown in 20+ years get back into the game now that its legal.

He doesn't understand what autoflowers are.

He says he's ready for a dozen seedlings, but I have no info on his lighting setup. Apparently he's just planning on growing in his basement, no tent or anything. So if he grows photos they are going to herm like crazy. I told my friend that unless he just dropped $500 or more on lights, there is no way he's ready for a dozen seedlings.

He wants 20 seeds in case some don't germinate. I was like whoah, slow down now. Germination rates are really good.

Pretty sure this dude is just used to growing bag seed, lol.

I'm happy to help, but I don't want to give the guy some autos and him not understand how they do.

He also won't talk directly to me, only through my friend, he's still afraid of too many people knowing. Its like bro, I'm talking to your daughter and I know where you live, calm the fuck down, its legal now.

Any suggestions on how to approach this?

Going through the same thing. "Someone" I know from the local has started growing and is used a mutual friend to get a few seeds about 3 weeks ago. So had to explain the autoflower thing to him and hope he tells it right to the other guy. Gave him 12 of the GT's to start off......Anymore and it's gonna have to be a face to face. Him knowing I grow and have seeds is a bit unnerving with him wanting to stay in the shadows.

It's where I got the Ecuadors when the other place lagged on filling the order. Those are still producing so haven't really messed with the others yet.

Yeah, so I talked to my friend. He doesn't want me to come to his house because his wife is super nosy and he wants to get his plants started before she catches wind and tell him no.

WTF is the deal with boomers and having wives that hate them and their hobbies? Makes no sense to me.

He wanted to come to my place, and I said no I'm not really interested in another person seeing my setup, I'm a fairly recognizable dude and the last thing I want is more people knowing my business.

So we're meeting at my friends place, his daughter's house. I'll give him some seeds and talk him through everything. Try to convince the guy that starting out with a dozen plants is insane. I have 8 plants and its 20-30 minutes a day I spend on taking care of them. Start with like...2.

I went though that last grow with one of my girls. It foxtailed like crazy, and I was worried for a while. I ignored the foxtail trichs in deciding when to chop. When I chopped, I snipped all the foxtail bud separately. Bottom line as far as I could tell was that the amount of foxtail bud was so tiny relative to the good stuff, that it was trivial. So, if I were you, I would ignore it.
