I'm thinking recirculating and topping off during the week and fresh rez changes weekly. That would save me like 10 gallons of feed per week for the last 6 weeks or so...
Recirculating systems are very common in hydroponics, some nutrient vendors even offer schedules to do so. It usually is a lower PPM than DTW. I am using it right now on my solo cup grow, but I have a 12 gallon reservoir feeding 1 dinky plant. I top off with just water.

It will be a learning curve for sure with a lot of plants feeding at the same time. You really do not know what the plants are using but can guess that it is a lot of N in veg and a lot of P-K in early to mid flower and less of everything in late flower. I would not want to see a drop of more than 100PPM without a res change.

I feel like it should work. Just can't really find anything online about people actually doing it, just talking about it. So I think I might try it next run :pass:

After a very warm start winter is finaly here.
Minus 17C, flurries, a king tide and powerful winds yesterday. The power went out for 3 hours and I count my blessings that there's nothing growing right now.

Now the sky is clear and they are predicting -25 to -30 windchill for the next several days.

Maybe I could freeze dry my weed?

These drippers are slow. 2 stakes is 1oz per minute. And I'm running 45 minutes a day currently to get just a little runoff from the thirstiest plant
My pots are many times that rate, which I prefer because it builds depth of nute liquid over all the distribution holes rather than just leaking through the closest ones to the inputs. Differing thirstiness is handled by clamping tubes on the slowpokes to keep their runoff in line. I think I am just about done with designing my grow, it has been a bit of an evolution so far. The last big change was adding a second pump to handle the solos separately. The problem with the solos was that once they are rootbound they will not accept enough nutes quickly enough without running over, and this makes it a PITA to choose pump timing that works for both the solos and the regular pots. The second pump has made a huge difference in convenience and ease of setup. Also, the second pump I bought is stronger, so it fills all the big pot trays a lot more effectively than my original pump did. The evolution continues, maybe a little bit - I always seem to find one more adjustment... :pighug:
