Yes not calling it my own, but it is indeed a new variety. Who the owner is, is less important.

Can we agree?

Depends on the breeder's attitude towards such things. Like Fruitz said, best to call it "HOF's cut of xxxx strain". There are plenty of people that change the name of something and call it their own, but that is highly frowned on by most! It's good to give credit where credit is due as someone has put a lot of time and work in

Just look up the concept. It's basically growing more smaller plants in the same space. Say 20 regular size plants or 80 single cola plants. They take up the same amount of space. Yield will be larger and supposedly more cannabinoids as well. Just a couple of branches and/or even one cola per plant. Basically each cola you see in the pic you posted is a single plant.

I call that fair, to say or mention, even include the name of the original breeder is more then okey, that is an absolute most I would say, but I would still call that plant a new strain if she is extraordinary and is 1 of a 100/1000 or something.

Cut sure, from a regular one that they were intended to be, but all plants from seeds are slightly different.

It’s not the name I talk mean, it’s just that it is a new strain in some way.

Who knows, maybe I get a plant which heritage is 50-70 years old? Then it’s before the breeders actually done any work.

If u buy a car and customize it to be your own its still the same car u bought! U couldn’t change it from Subura to HOFaru! :crying:

Okey, that was the plan, but then they started to grow side/branches and were so small so they needed more veg/time. I believe PPP is a SOG strain…..

Here one needs to get a good cut that just focus on the main-cola. Lesson learned.

Thank you @Cerebral Goo

Not to mention if its a good breeder u start with highly likely u are gonna get some 1 in a million pheno they haven’t already seen during the selection process!

Yes it’s a HOFaru 😂

Look at the computers… where all the different parts come from. Just coz it says ACER or HP on the front didn’t mean it consist of just their parts, they just assembled it.

But we growrers have a 💚 and share where we get our cuttings/genetics from, if the original breeder so wish. 💜
