Thanks..

Supercropping is less stressful than topping. Most plants recover from the training in a matter of hours and get to work reaching tops for the lights.

I don’t top….

Yes, I defoliate to expose the lower branching to the light so they will reach up. Basically, after bending and tying the plant, look straight down on it from the point of view of the light…. Start removing any fans on the top side of the branches, exposing all the new potential tops. If they’re shaded, they won’t reach up… and will remain larfy.

I’ll be supercropping five plants in about 20-25 days if you want to follow along..
How stressful is supercropping compared to lst?

When you supercrop, you tie down the branch after. Its just like lst, but no chance of the branch snapping. I dont know if it would cause too much stress. I guess you can still supercrop during the stretch, so it should be fine
I don’t tie them down but have weighted them to keep them from standing back up.

If you want the plants to turn out like mine above… you want to supercrop before the stretch. You want that energy….

Honestly, most people use supercropping as a last resort in flower because the plant is getting too tall. Thats not supercropping exactly…. That’s just a response of not having a better option for a plant that is in the light.

if done at the right time…. Supercropping will create a super crop…. Hence the name

My point is, don’t think what I’ve done to the plants above is the same as someone who bent over a plant in flower….
I thought the best time to supercrop was during stretch?

No, I just use plant training tie wire ( it’s like a spool of the twist tie stuff for the bread bag… but with a better coating) and tie down directly to the side of the pot (just poke a hole and run it through).

So are you not actually crushing and bending over the stem when super cropping
