Got a bunch of snow overnight so the kids are out playing in it of course. Huge headache cause we have zero cold weather gear for them really. #3 was the only one with gloves anywhere to be found. #2 destroying #1s snowman. Lots of crying. Boys are trying to steal #3s gloves. Just getting enough layers on them to send them out was a fucking headache. They're having fun(?) though I guess so they'll be out there till they are ready to come in.

Feeling pretty gutted today, my brand new Apogee MQ-610 is faulty apparently.
Low light applications affected by zero-offset calibration error in some meters
On December 9, 2021, an internal Quality Control Audit determined a small number of Apogee handheld pyranometer, PAR, and ePAR meters may have shipped with a zero-value offset that was outside of our published specifications. This means some meters may not be reading within the ± 5% advertised specification when measuring low light levels. Please refer to the table and search tool below to determine if your meter is in the affected group and if you are measuring low enough light levels to be concerned.
Normal SpecificationsPossible Low Light Error
Quantum Meters± 5% (0-4000 umol m-2 s-1)± >5% (0-200 umol m-2 s-1),
± 5% (200-4000 umol m-2 s-1)
ePAR Meters± 5% (0-4000 umol m-2 s-1)± >5% (0-200 umol m-2 s-1),
± 5% (200-4000 umol m-2 s-1)
Pyranometer Meters± 5% (0-2000 W m-2)± >5% (0-100 W m-2),
± 5% (100-2000 W m-2)
Should I be concerned growing cannabis, or isn't it a problem, anyone know?
Not a chance in hell that 5% is an issue. Differences between plants will be higher than that. You will always have to adjust things according to plant response, the job of the meter is to get you in the adjustment zone, not make things perfect. With the Apogee, you are still mile and miles ahead of peeps without a PAR meter.

Also, since when do we grow cannabis in low light? The published specs are just fine in the ppfd ranges meaningful for growing (always above 200, usually multiple times that.

Just my 2 cents of course...

I've got heartburn so bad I feel like I'm gonna be sick blegh
Sorry to hear that Suki. I've been on meds for that issue for years. It is a damn nuisance, to put it mildly, and also a significant health risk.

Good luck with it. :pighug:
