Was t messy making mine but wait til u go to strain it! I recommend a kiddie pool and some tarps! Paint strainer mesh bags work best but u gotta squeeze them like crazy to get all the juice out! Also be ready cuz my 5 gallon bucket was about 70% full and it made 2.6gal of liquid so you’ll have way more then 3 if that’s mainly all fruit that needs to be mixed with sugar still!

Not sure what your plan for storage is! I ordered 2 of these for like $25 if I remember correctly!

Or if u wanna be cheap like I was initially u can get a 4pk of these valves for like $10 and use a milk jug to make storage that’s breathable!

They have one gallon wide mouth jars with lids that have a hole for an airlock good for storage cause it's wider than a mason jar

Be careful with an active 5 gallon fermentation, they can blow the water and/or lids out of those fermentation locks. make sure there is enough head space so the stuff does not spurt/bubble up on the valve and stop it up. It can blow up a glass carboy Been there and done that.

Just use a ladle or small pot to scoop out the ferment for straining.

Ps. do you put them in the grow space while fermenting to use the Co²?

Oh hey, @Mañ'O'Green - If I mix a dry nutrient into R/O water at full strength, say 5g/gal. If the ppm/ec is very high, is it ok to dilute with more R/O to bring the ppm down? Just want to make sure I've not completely missed the point on something. I've been reading and re-reading your MC schedule thread about mixing to full strength and then diluting etc.

Yes, at some point the nutrients can fall out of balance but yes it is best to mix MC to at least 600 PPM then dilute a little if needed. I cannot speak to other lines. I have tested the MC +NPK RAW down to 450 PPM in flowering and they do much better at 550 - 600.

So with this study now I'm interested in real world effects and this seems like a great place to do a survey. Especially since COVID has run around the globe a few times now. Who's had it? 3 fully vaccinated people in my house, 2 regular THC/CBD users and the only one here who's tested positive for COVID is the one without, but I do have some friends who partake who've had it. Just wondering...How's it seem in everybody else's house?

A year ago, before I was vaxed, my THC level got too low and I got the 'rona. My wife had it first. We rode it out at home. I went back to taking long walks after 3 weeks. I had a CT scan a month later, and my lungs still showed pneumonia and the constellation phenomenon (a thousand specs light).
