Check the air filter

I did the first time it happened! I went and stole the brand new filter i installed right before me moved from the other house! And have this washable one!

A quick google search says lack of airflow and weird noises (mentioned days ago to my mom i heard rattling coming from the unit) means probably blower motor issue! Says to reset the motor which i don’t know how to do but assuming flipping the breakers resets it which is why it then blows cold again but still blows softly! Thinking since its 20yrs since it was installed may need a good cleaning!

And i am no ac technician but i am assuming there is something going on with the blower motor! If i stand on a chair its definitely cold air coming out but the fact i have to stand on a chair to feel it means its not blowing out as hard as its supposed to!

Might need to clean the ducts

Well that fucking sucks! Something going on with the damn ac here where i will go out and its set at 73 but up to 78ish in here! Multiple times now its done this and for whatever reason it seems flipping the breaker and babying it will get it slowly cooled down but barely feel anything coming from the vents! And when my mom last mentioned it the landlord said he would come check if out but if he comes here i gotta make sure the plants are gone cuz he will wanna see if the tent is still setup in here!

Or condenser coil needs to be cleaned up. If it's tripping the breaker its overworking and since u just moved in maybe its just dirty. My neighbors had an interior air filter on and cuz they didn't know about it would get cold but take forever and eventually burned out the compressor

Its not tripping the breaker i flipped it off and back on! And like i said its cold air that seems to be coming out its just so softly that it doesn’t cool the house so it just keeps struggling to try and then it seems like it will stop coming out cool! Then if i flip it off and on it blows cool again but very softly! And the filter sits just under the blower motor so if it wasn’t changed regularly be super easy to get overly dusty and stop blowing cool but no idea! My last place if my mom was canning the ac would struggle to cool with the vaulted ceilings and it would absolutely freeze up but there was no messing with that and getting it to blow cool! U had to let it totally thaw out first!
