Thanks for the reps auntie I haven't seen EC unless on coco like jp said.. All the soil/composts mixs i have used just have NPK %'s

That light is not a T5. It was converted to LED by using a pair of Horticultural Lighting Group 24 Volt QB96 strips ( no longer available unfortunately ). My house plants love it! Been running 4 years now i think.
