No, the meristem of the tap root will never grow back but it don't matter in the case of Photoperiod plants. They have all the time to grow the feeder roots to fill your container. We are principally an Autoflower Forum so when you want to talk about photos you need to specify that or we are going to be giving you information based on autoflowering plants. There are indeed a lot of differences in the plant physiology.
The Jiffy Peat Pellets that I have tested all PHed at 5 or less.
Your seeds will get a better start if you buffer the Jiffy pellets.
IMPO the netting does not matter for a Photoperiod plant. The root hairs that become the feeder roots are only 1 cell big at the tip which can easily fit through the mesh, after that the have plenty of force to tear the mesh as they grow. Tree roots can lift buildings with the force they can create. I have had cannabis plants tear my plastic net pots to shreds.
The reason you don't want the netting for autos is it may slow down the tap root and we are on a very short schedule for vegging. The fast start is important for the best yield.
You know don't get me wrong everyone I meant to expand on this.. The plants turned out great and I did have some good weed but the strains were not consistent... I would expect to buy specific strain and expect it to be what it's suppose to be
