Wife is currently fighting with some doctor over a $972 charge.

She had a cyst removed. Dermotologist sent it off. And then 2 months later we get a $972 bill for a pathologist to examine it.

We're currently fighting over an ER charge where they want to charge for both the CT scans they gave me. The first was done incorrectly and showed nothing. I told the tech he was doing it wrong, but WTF do I know about where my pain is?

We have a $7k deductible, so that $800 would be nice.

They gave us a 35% discount just because we called and nicely asked.

But yeah, I am so sick of medical stuff.

I recently had bloodwork ran. It would have been $40 to have the national bloodwork chain company do it, but instead of sending it to Labcorp, my doctor sent it to the hospital they are associated with who charged me $700 to do it instead.

We don’t play that game. We changed doctor’s over a disagreement like that. Our current one writes orders for tests or labwork and we have our own list of providers who charge reasonable prices and take cash discounts. Being self-employed has its joys.

The problem comes down to ER visits or special tests. I’ve had an ortho doc tell me the $350 MRI I got on my knee was too low resolution to read.

The punchline from the above dispute over the CT was that they only charged us for one. It was $1900. OUCH! I would have had to go a hospital to get that test because of the radioactive materials involved.

Day 2 she already has nice roots! Transplanted it just now and the 2 seeds i had soaking are also getting planted! 3 in 1 5gal and we shall see which 1 (or possibly 2) make the cut!

Ok rephrase….
We shall see which of the 2 come out on top! Just noticed this when i went to plant up the ones soaking!

Apparently waiting 36hrs to plant them was 18hrs too long for this 1! Was gonna plant last night but with the 1 i found in tray I was in no rush!

Except no publicity is bad publicity.

We're literally talking about Bud Light right now.

Subaru markets to gay people. In the early 90s when a marketing company first pointed out to them that gay people were their most loyal customers, they freaked out, but then decided to lean into it. And now no self respecting lesbian would drive anything except a subaru outback.

Yet when a subaru drives down the road next to me I don't think "there goes that gay car."
Its just one facet of their marketing.

99.9% of people on tiktok videoing themselves shooting at, running over, or throwing away cans of budlight will just go out and buy more.

Like my dad. Fiercely loyal to Bud Light, and made fun of me for drinking Natty Light, and then he wasn't able to pick which was which when I poured them into a cup. They come out of the same damn tanks, the natty is just what didn't make the grade for bud light. And even then, if they need more, they just can it. Its the same damn beer and its half the price.
Stopped drinking years ago enjoy the ganja high better.
