Steaks are overrated and a filet is $40 per pound. That’s a savings of 2bags of Wally peat mix. Some of our pals swear by the white pineapple. Wonder if they will grow in your climate.
How are you getting enough calories? No red meat, no dairy. I had to do something more austere during Thyroid cancer treatment. Only a month, and afterwards….drove straight to a greasy spoon and ate it in the car ( still radioactive) .

I think pineapple takes a crazy amount of time to grow…. And I eat two a week. I’ll just buy em for three bucks a piece
between breakfast (4 eggs, toast, jam) and my dinner salads (pretty good size, lots of variety) I’m probably in the neighborhood of what I need…..plus I do eat the occasional treat of non dairy Ben and Jerry’s….so that bumps things up a little. I’m certain not getting any extra calories, but I’m probably getting 2500 a day, I’m guessing. If I need a snack during the day, I usually just have a handful of grapes..
